The National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan Region welcomes its first visitors
The National Centre RUSSIA branch in the Ryazan Region has welcomed its first visitors. Among them are schoolchildren, students from sports institutions, educators and honorary citizens of Ryazan. The history of their native region, its nature and heroes, interactive locations as well as the opportunity to test their own strength made the strongest impression on the young visitors.
Ten-year-old Ksenia Kozlova from School No. 17 was particularly impressed by the multimedia part of the exposition dedicated to the history of the Ryazan land and Russia.
"What impressed me most were our fields and meadows — I didn't expect them to be so beautiful. It was also very interesting to learn about writers, bogatyrs (a bogatyr is a warrior of immense strength in old East Slavic folklore) and tsars, and to find out more about the history and culture of my home region," the girl said.
Her classmate Tatyana Gordinarova came to the National Centre branch with her friends. According to her, she particularly enjoyed an interactive location where visitors can identify animals by their tracks: "You have to identify animals by their tracks — for example, the European mink and lynx. It's great!"
Ariana Fetisova chose a different activity — "Bogatyr Strength".
"I liked "Bogatyr Strength". I tested my strength there and found out how strong my arms are. It turned out that I am a real bogatyr — I managed to lift 25 kilograms," Ariana Fetisova said.
The main attraction at the new National Centre RUSSIA branch is the permanent exposition "Soul of Ryazan — Heart of Russia", which takes visitors on a journey through different historical periods, from the era of the Ryazan Principality to the region's modern achievements in socio-economic development. The exposition also introduces guests to the unique traditional crafts for which the Ryazan land is renowned, the implementation of national projects and the contribution of local residents to the development of the country as a whole.
The official opening ceremony of the National Centre RUSSIA will take place this evening. The programme will feature singer and performer of traditional and original songs Tatyana Kurtukova.
We invite residents and visitors to the city to attend the official opening of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan Region. The new space is located at 26 Oksky Proyezd, Ryazan, within walking distance of the Ryazan Kremlin and Ryazan VDNH. The event will be broadcast live on the National Centre RUSSIA website and social media channels.
