"Our performance is a message": representative of the UAE prepares for "Intervision"

The representative of the United Arab Emirates, Saif Al Ali, will go on stage under number eight at the International Music Contest "Intervision". The artist noted that he was satisfied with the draw and considers the spirit of competition an important element of the creative process.

"I am pleased with the results of the draw. There is definitely competition, and that is good. This is my fourth time in Russia; I was in Ulyanovsk at a similar event. What I like most in Russia is the friendliness of people. Our performance is a message — a message of uniting peoples so that we live in peace and coexist. My song contains our traditions, our attitude to the world," stressed the musician.

Saif Al Ali is known as a classical performer who has managed to combine classical Arabic traditions with contemporary musical trends. Inspired by the work of Mohammed Abdel Wahab and Umm Kulthum, he masterfully fuses national legacy with a modern sound. The artist performs in different genres and in several languages, and his music gains special depth from his mastery of the piano and the oud — a traditional instrument, the forerunner of the European lute.

The final of "Intervision-2025" will take place on 20 September in Moscow at the "Live Arena" venue. Performers from 23 countries will take part in the contest. Russia will be represented by Yaroslav Dronov (SHAMAN).
