"The true face of the country": Dmitry Birichevsky on the National Centre RUSSIA in Ryazan
The branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan
Region, which opened on 5 October, continues to welcome guests and has already
made a strong impression on visitors. The Director of the Department of
Economic Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian
Federation, Dmitry Birichevsky, shared his impressions.
"What I have seen fills me with pride: everything is beautifully designed
and modern, and it is deeply moving — it literally gives me goosebumps. The
expositions of the National Centre RUSSIA are our soft power," shared
Dmitry Birichevsky.
He noted that the main exposition at the branch in Ryazan can be understood
without the need to know another language. According to Dmitry Birichevsky,
this makes the venue particularly important for international dialogue.
"This is the true face of Russia and the heart of central Russia. I
believe that people from anywhere in the world will be able to understand the
exposition, regardless of language. We will do our best to help bring as many
tourists as possible to the Ryazan Region. Let us hold international forums,
seminars and other events here, especially since this is the first branch in
the European part of the country," he added.
The branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan Region is located at 26
Oksky Proyezd, Ryazan. The
two-storey, 9,500-square-metre building presents the history, culture,
traditions and modern achievements of the region. It includes exposition and
display areas, spaces for educational, cultural and business events, and the
Department Store RUSSIA, which offers unique products from Russian brands.
The venue welcomes guests from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 20:00.
Admission to the exposition is free with advance registration on the branch's website.
