The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the Khabarovsk region on the 87th anniversary of its establishment
On 20 October, the Khabarovsk region is celebrating its 87th birthday. The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates residents of the region on this event, and invites Muscovites and guests of the capital to get acquainted with the Khabarovsk region's iconic sights and achievements at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition.
The history of the modern Khabarovsk region begins in 1938, when it was established as an independent administrative district. During its development, this subject of the country has become an important economic, cultural and social centre of the Far East, as well as one of the centres of international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.
"In just a few decades, modern cities, factories, seaports and airports have appeared where once there was an impassable taiga. Today, the Khabarovsk region is a flagship of development in Eastern Russia, and one of the centres of international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. At the jubilee Eastern Economic Forum, the President of Russia set us a task for the coming years: "We must launch a new stage in the development of the Far East, shape the economy of the future with a radical improvement of the environment for living in cities and towns, with training of in-demand professional personnel, with high-tech projects," said Dmitry Demeshin, Governor of the Khabarovsk region, while talking with the Press Office of the National Centre RUSSIA.
He added that the region has everything it needs to fulfill the task set by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In many ways, this is proved by the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA.
"The region has all the resources for this. And most importantly, there are hundreds of thousands of people in the region who want to live, work and raise children there. At the "Journey Across Russia" exposition, the Khabarovsk region is presented as a birthplace of whales and airplanes. But this is not all that our region can surprise travelers with. Come visit us!", Dmitry Demeshin invited.
