Esports Week will be held in the Sport for Everyone pavilion
02.06.2024
The exposition of the Russian Esports Federation is held this week in the Sport for Everyone pavilion at the VDNH.
Are computer games a sport? Surely many people have thought about this question. In fact, esportsmen train not only the skill of completing games, but also reaction speed, concentration and endurance, for which they use physical exercises. In addition, computer sport is recognized at the official level, and the scale of competitions and prize money is not inferior to traditional sports. This will be evident at the Russian Esports Federation exposition, which is being held this week in the Sport for Everyone pavilion at VDNH.
Visitors will be treated to performances by Russian champions in games such as Tekken and FIFA, augmented and virtual reality simulators, as well as masterclasses and quizzes. Besides, it will be possible to fight with real experts - winners of the Cup of Russia Sergey Platov (Tekken) and Pavel Skuratov (FIFA). It won't be easy to beat them, but you can always gain experience and learn a couple of new tricks.
Also, every day those interested are taught how to pilot sports drones in a special simulator. And also, it will be possible to pass psychophysiological testing and determine how cognitive skills correspond to the level of professional e-athletes. Here you can also learn about anti-doping rules, which exist in esports as well.
In addition, the guests will be introduced to virtual reality helmets. All week long, a special Cyberquiz will be held for visitors of the exposition to learn about the history and specifics of these disciplines. The winners will receive branded merchandise from the Russian Esports Federation.
Discover all the possibilities of new technologies at the masterclasses:
- February 6 - drawing in augmented reality;
- February 7 - assembling your own VR-helmet from improvised materials;
- February 8 - development of models for augmented reality games.
