NPOs present their products at the Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA
A window display named "From the Land of Creators"
has opened at the Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA. It features
items made by beneficiaries of non-profit organisations (NPO) that have won
competitions held by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
"Every item in this window display is living proof that
creativity unites and inspires. You can tell just by looking at these toys:
they are made with soul and all heart. They contain sincerity, labour, and a
special warmth that cannot be faked," said Natalia Virtuozova, Director
General of the National Centre RUSSIA.
Every item in the display is the result of meticulous work,
talent, and the patience of its creator. Creativity has become a path to
self-realisation and socialisation for these creators, a proof that human
potential is limitless. For buyers, it is an opportunity not only to please
themselves or loved ones with a unique handmade product but also to support the
NPOs and their beneficiaries.
"When someone does their work with soul, you can feel it immediately. Moreover, the level of skill of the NPOs' beneficiaries is truly high; all their works displayed at the Department Store have individual character and literally hold the warmth of their hands," noted Ilya Chukalin, Director General of the Presidential Grants Foundation.
Ahead of the New Year, products from three non-profit
organisations have appeared in the display. Among them are the St. Petersburg
Fund for Supporting Innovations and Youth Initiatives, the centre for social
and legal assistance to children "Start into the Future", and the
centre for creative development of children and adults "Masterskiye
Stupeni" ("Stepping Stone Workshops"). Specially for the
Department Store, the NPOs' beneficiaries prepared items on a circus theme.
The St. Petersburg Fund for Supporting Innovations and Youth
Initiatives presented in the display bone china boxes titled "Myths"
and a candle holder "Heavenly Light" from the "Petersburg
Style" series. The items were made by students of the St. Petersburg
Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design and St. Petersburg State University.
"For us, the most important result will be that visitors like the items and purchase them as New Year's gifts. All proceeds will go towards the development of the students in 2026," said Sergei Salkutsan, Director General of the St. Petersburg Fund for Supporting Innovations and Youth Initiatives.
In the gift display, one can also purchase products from the
centre for creative development of children and adults "Masterskiye
Stupeni" from Kaluga. Its beneficiaries created decorative wall panels,
Christmas tree decorations, and magnets.
"For the display, we made unique products. We
elaborated on the design all together; for example, that's how a series of
unusual magnets with circus strongmen appeared," says Yana Mazina,
Director of the centre.
Another participant
in the display is the Kaluga centre for social and legal assistance to children
"Start into the Future". Specially for the store, beneficiaries from
children's homes and schoolchildren prepared ceramic items: teapots, mugs, and
vases.
"For us, the main result is not the amount of revenue
raised, although that is also important, but the opportunity to showcase the
work of the master-instructors and their students," explained Ira Ivkina,
Director of the organisation.
By purchasing from the "From the Land of Creators"
display, a visitor is not simply acquiring a high-quality handmade product but
also helping to support important social projects, contributing to the creation
of an inclusive society in the country. The items perfectly work as meaningful
gifts for the New Year, Christmas, and any other holidays.
