At the National Centre RUSSIA, guests have the opportunity to discover fascinating insights about various nations and their people. The "Legacy for the Future" exposition, showcasing works by young and talented artists, serves as a gateway to exploring new cultures. A prime example is the painting "Ordinary People" and the sculpture from the series "Tibetans."

According to official data, the People's Republic of China is home to representatives of 56 nationalities who speak 298 languages. The diversity of ethnic groups and cultures is captured in the work Ordinary People by artist Wang Rui. Guests can view 67 portraits representing a wide range of individuals from across China.

"Notice how 'ordinary people' in China encompass a wide variety of types, genotypes, and phenotypes. Here, you can see someone from Tibet, from southern China, and from Inner Mongolia in the country's north. Many hold stereotypical ideas about what a Chinese person looks like, but the people of the PRC are unique and diverse," explained Yuri Bolotov, a guide at the National Centre RUSSIA.

The theme of the uniqueness and diversity of China's peoples continues in a work titled "Series 'Tibetans' — Young Man" by Liu Yuanzhe. The sculpture depicts a young Tibetan man. For centuries, Tibetans have lived on high-altitude plateaus among snowy peaks, preserving their culture and traditions despite technological progress. This creates vivid imagery that artist can observe and bring to life.

The exposition "Legacy for the Future" presents works by young artists from six countries: Russia, China, India, Brazil, Ethiopia, and Iran. Through their art, these creators offer personal responses to contemporary challenges. They reflect on the present, express their attitude towards the past, and contemplate the future.

Visitors to the National Centre can explore the exposition independently or join free guided tours, available in 30-minute or one-hour formats. Registration is available on the website under the "Events" section.

The National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a permanent basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations, and regions take part in the Centre’s work.

The National Centre RUSSIA is located at 14 Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, Moscow. The Centre is open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day except Monday.
