From history to technology: the regions presented their initiatives at "The Platform of the Future" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA
The new
exposition "Region-2030. The Platform of the Future" took a start at
the National Centre RUSSIA. This large-scale project introduces visitors to the
achievements and strategic development plans of the constituent entities of the
Russian Federation.
At the
opening of the new exposition, governors and representatives of the regions
shared their priorities and plans, thus showcasing key trends of development
and unique features reflected in the expositions.
Acting Governor Irina Gekht spoke about the priorities of the Nenets Autonomous Area: "For the NAA, the point of growth is the development of the oil industry. Today, the technologies used in the fields are also used in everyday life — in heat supply and small-scale energy. We have been actively developing logistics using unmanned vessels. But the main thing is the quality of people's lives. We have been introducing distance education technologies and new standards of Arctic medicine. The Nenets Autonomous Area is an original district with a rich culture, traditions and history. The combination of traditions and modern technologies is the synergy in which we see the future of the region."
The First
Deputy Governor of the Chelyabinsk region, Ivan Kutsevlyak, stressed that the
project "Region-2030. The Platform of the Future" gives regions an
opportunity to tell about themselves in a new way.
"The
project "Region-2030. The Platform of the Future" is another
opportunity to introduce our region, to tell what it is rich in, and to talk
about our plans. The Chelyabinsk region's stand features a large number of
interactive elements which help visitors to learn about industry, technology,
traditions, nature, and more. We have a very large country, and here, at the
National Centre RUSSIA, one can get acquainted with the culture and history of
various regions," said Ivan Kutsevlyak, First Deputy Governor of the
Chelyabinsk Region.
The Tula
region is also represented at the display. At the stand of the region, visitors
will be able to see the past, the present and the future of the region: the
works of Leo Tolstoy, and his family estate "Yasnaya Polyana",
paintings by Vasily Polenov, folk crafts, achievements in sports -- with the
opportunity to try oneself as an athlete –, and video tours of small towns. The
“Future” area showcases the developments in the field of unmanned aircraft
systems, the chemical industry, and high technologies.
"We
are pleased to be one of the first to show our historical and cultural
potential, to share innovative projects and development prospects up to 2030.
Governor Dmitry Milyaev will present a development strategy for the Tula region
– based on national goals outlined by Russian President Vladimir Putin -- at
the Region’s Week, which will start on 16 September," said Mikhail Panteleev,
First Deputy Governor of the Tula region and Chairman of the Tula region
Government.
The first
seven regions to take part in the display "Region-2030. Platform of the
Future" are: Chelyabinsk, Tula, Voronezh and Amur regions, Nenets
Autonomous Area, the Republic of Dagestan and the Jewish Autonomous region.
