The tenth anniversary of the referendums on self-determination of the LPR and DPR was celebrated at the RUSSIA EXPO with a concert "Father's Land — Native Donbass". The event was attended by guests of honor — the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation Irek Faizullin, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Leonid Slutsky and Director General of the RUSSIA EXPO Natalia Virtuozova.

"Ten years ago we could only dream of meeting the first round anniversary of the Donetsk People's Republic together with the whole country at the main exposition of Russia. Today it has become a reality. I am grateful to everyone who shares the historical value of this day with us. The source of strength for our people during all these difficult years has been and remains the firm realization that we stand for our native land, for the free future of our children, for traditional values and true history. Every day every resident of Donbas is ready to fight for this, and to fight until victory. We will definitely defeat the enemy and revive the region, make the Republic strong and prosperous. And even now, when the front line is still close, with the great support of the whole country, we are confidently moving along the path of development," Denis Pushilin emphasized.

With the help of bright vocal, instrumental and dance numbers, the participants of the concert program talked to the audience about the history and culture of the Donetsk region, the way of creation and development of the region, the pride of the region's residents for the accomplishments of their ancestors and the feats of their compatriots, and the hope for peace, goodness and justice.

"Ten years of unbending will and faith in victory have fulfilled the desire of the residents of the DPR to return to Russia. Of course, today the most important thing is to restore peaceful life. And we, as the Ministry of Construction, are responsible for coordinating the work of all authorities in accordance with the instructions of our President. We are working on the restoration of housing, social and cultural facilities, schools, kindergartens, parks, public gardens, and the creation of a comfortable urban environment. And, most importantly, we realize that we will restore everything. We will restore peace, restore all the objects that have been destroyed and build new ones. And we will build, of course, a new life, thanks to those people who managed to win," said Irek Faizullin.

Brovun Donetsk State Academic Music and Drama Theatre and the Donetsk State Academic Philharmonic Society, artists of the Donetsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

"Today we celebrate a special date. Ten years ago an event that became the starting point of a new history took place. The world ceased to be the same: it got a chance to live in kindness and justice, a chance for good to defeat evil. We bow deeply to the people who live on the Donetsk land. As our President Vladimir Putin said: 'Together we will win!'" stated Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the RUSSIA EXPO.

The festive concert "Father's Land — Native Donbass" featured vocal, instrumental and choreographic compositions by Soviet, Russian and contemporary authors, including natives of Donbass.
