We’re going to the future! A quest for children named "Journey On a 2-3-2B Steam Locomotive" to be launched at the National Centre RUSSIA
On 9
September, the National Centre RUSSIA will launch a new educational project for
children and parents — an interactive quest across seven
regions of the country. It will be held as part of the "Region-2030. The platform of the Future" exposition. Young researchers will set off on a
great adventure riding the legendary record-breaking steam locomotive.
Each stop
is a new world full of discoveries: from Caucasian legends and Dagestan rugs to
the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Amur region and the famous Tula gingerbreads.
Exciting
tasks, legends and scientific facts — and most importantly — a lively acquaintance with the culture and riches of Russia's regions,
await the children.
— the Republic of Dagestan: Caucasian legends and the art of carpet weaving;
— the Chelyabinsk region: Bolshaya
Kamennaya River and Ural industry;
— the Nenets Area: the life of the tundra;
— the Amur region: the Vostochny cosmodrome and unique lakes;
— the Jewish Autonomous region: musical traditions and natural diversity;
— Voronezh: the cat
from Lizyukova Street, and the history of the peaceful atom;
— Tula: gingerbread cookies, samovars, and the skill of inventors.
The young
participants will put stickers in the "traveler's passport", and in
the end, they will receive an eco-friendly gift: a set of seeds of plants
growing in the participating regions, to plant their "garden of the
future" at home.
The quest
is available in the format of a bright booklet, which can be obtained free of
charge at the central information desk of the "Region-2030. The platform
of the Future" exposition.
