Panel discussion "Youth in the Labour Market: Who Changes Whom" to be held at the National Centre RUSSIA
10.02

On 10 October at 18:30, the National Centre RUSSIA will host a panel discussion titled "Youth in the Labour Market: Who Changes Whom". The event will bring together leading HR experts, government officials, and leaders of youth projects to discuss key trends and challenges in the labour market.

In 2025, it will be five years since the law on youth policy, signed by President of Russia Vladimir Putin came into effect. Among the key measures for implementing youth policy are guarantees in the field of youth labour and employment, assistance with the employment of young citizens, and the professional development of young specialists.

Significant contributions to state support are made, for example, by projects of the "Russia — Land of Opportunity" platform, which enables young people to realise their potential in many areas. One of the platform’s key projects is the All-Russian student Olympiad "I Am a Professional", whose participants later receive job offers from partner companies. In this context, the discussion will serve as an important platform for assessing the current situation and finding solutions for integrating the new generation into the economy.

Key topics for discussion:

•  The state and young professionals: which support measures are most effective? How can youth involvement in projects such as "I Am a Professional" be increased?

•  Employers for Generation Z: how should communication with young employees be built? What are the specific features of managing cross-generational teams, and is a shift in established practices truly underway?

•  Generation Z job seekers: what matters more to them — money or interest in the job? How can employers meet their demand for a balance of material and non-material incentives (flexible schedules, private health insurance, corporate culture)?

Speakers include:

•  Valeria Kasamara, Director of the Association of Organisers of Student Olympiads "I Am a Professional"

•  Antonina Selezneva, Director of the Educational Activities Department of the EISR (Expert Institute for Social Research)

•  Vyacheslav Shulenin, Director General of ANO "Moscow Centre for Innovative Technologies in Healthcare"

•  Marat Ismagulov, Director for Human Capital Management at Alfa-Bank JSC

•  Nikita Setov, moderator, Deputy CEO for GR at Polylog Consulting Group

• Sevik Mirzoyan, Deputy Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Centre for Assistance to Young Specialists"

The focus of the discussion will be effective tools for labour market adaptation, establishing dialogue between generations, and exploring ideas for developing government support measures and preparing personnel for the professions of the future.
