A couple from Armenia to take part in a large-scale wedding ceremony at the National Centre RUSSIA

A couple from the Republic of Armenia will take part in the III All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts", where they will join more than 100 couples from across Russia in sealing their union during a simultaneous wedding ceremony. The large-scale event will be held on Family, Love and Fidelity Day, 8 July, in Moscow, at the National Centre RUSSIA.

Among the registered couples are Alexander Arutyunyan and Satenik Arutyunyan from the Republic of Armenia. The groom works for Gazprom, while the bride is a medical worker. The couple met at the wedding of mutual friends, and for both of them it was love at first sight.

"Family is the most precious thing in life, a source of love, support, trust and mutual understanding," Alexander and Satenik shared.

On the first day of the festival at the National Centre RUSSIA, 8 July, the main event will be a simultaneous wedding ceremony for couples from across Russia, as well as international and foreign couples. The celebration of love will be adorned by the passing of the flame of the All-Russian Family Hearth "Heart of Russia". The newlyweds will receive a particle of the flame from Murom, where the patron saints of marriage, Peter and Fevronia, lived, from couples who married at previous festivals. On the second day, 9 July, educational lectures, as well as gastronomic and musical programmes, will be held for the newlyweds, their guests and everyone interested in wedding traditions. The programme will conclude with "Khorovod. Wedding", which will bring together the newlyweds, their guests and all visitors to the National Centre RUSSIA. Anyone will be able to take part in the events after registering on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA.

The festival is organised by the National Centre RUSSIA jointly with the Moscow Government and the Moscow Civil Registry Office.
