Couple from the Kyrgyz Republic to unite their hearts alongside more than 100 other couples at the III All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts"
A couple from the Kyrgyz Republic will take part in the III
All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts", where they
will be among more than 100 couples from across Russia sealing their union
during a simultaneous wedding ceremony. The large-scale event will take place
on 8 July, the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, at the National Centre RUSSIA
in Moscow.
Among the couples getting married at the festival are Yury
Pushko and Irina Bezmaternykh. The couple work at the Consulate General of
Russia in the city of Osh and met through their jobs. Irina never imagined that
this acquaintance would develop into a serious romance. According to the
couple, Irina is emotional and always in a hurry, while Yury embodies calmness
and patience. Over the course of their ten years together, they have shared
both joyful moments and difficult times. The sweethearts' friends have long
referred to them as "a needle and thread" and constantly ask them,
"So when is the wedding?"
"The III All-Russian Wedding Festival encouraged us to
formalise our relationship through marriage in keeping with all national
traditions. For us, family is a safe harbour where you are loved exactly as you
are," said Yury and Irina.
On the first day of the festival at the National Centre RUSSIA, 8 July, the main event will be the simultaneous wedding ceremony bringing together couples from across Russia, as well as international and foreign couples. The celebration of love will be enhanced by the transfer of the flame from the All-Russian Family Hearth, named "Heart of Russia". Newlyweds will receive a symbolic flame from couples who married at previous festivals. The flame originates from Murom, where Saints Peter and Fevronia, the patron saints of marriage and family, once lived. On the second day, 9 July, newlyweds, their guests and everyone interested in wedding traditions will be invited to attend educational lectures, as well as a gastronomic and musical programme. The festivities will conclude with the "Khorovod. Wedding" event, bringing together newlyweds, their guests and all visitors to the National Centre RUSSIA. All interested visitors will be able to take part in the events after registering on the National Centre RUSSIA website.
The festival is organised by the National Centre RUSSIA in partnership
with the Moscow Government and the Moscow Civil Registry Office.
