Patriotic upbringing and information partnership: the National Centre RUSSIA and the Zvezda TV channel sign an agreement
The National Centre RUSSIA and the Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Zvezda (Star) have concluded a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, and Mikhail Polusmak, President of the Managing Organisation of the Creative Association "Krasnaya Zvezda" ("Red Star"). The subject of the agreement is partnership interaction in the spheres of patriotic and cultural-and-historical upbringing of residents of the country and the popularisation of the achievements of our country and its people.
"We have long cooperated with the Zvezda media holding, and it is a great honour for us to formalise this partnership precisely on the eve of a holiday which is great and important for the whole country — National Unity Day. The National Centre was created by President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin as a space for pride and for showcasing the achievements of our Motherland, and behind any achievements there are always people. One of our goals is the popularisation of traditional values that unite the whole country. Many events take place here that we hold together with the whole country, and it is very important to tell people about them vividly, interestingly, and in detail. The Zvezda TV channel has a huge audience that trusts it. We are united by similar values and our common educational work. I am sure that new joint formats will appear in the near future," said Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA.
Natalia Virtuozova also added that in honour of National Unity Day, a large-scale programme of business, cultural, and educational events have been prepared at the National Centre RUSSIA, and these events are planned to run for more than a single day. On 4 November, the intellectual game "Unity of Russia" will be held at the National Centre, and from 5 to 7 November — the events of the International Week "Peoples of Russia." The most striking and large-scale cultural event of the coming days will be the musical and choreographic parable "Khorovod. The Energy of Unity," which will take place on 10, 11, and 12 November and will become the culmination of the cycle of events of the same name marking the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The most large-scale production will bring together the best of the best numbers and ensembles to show the main thing: the diversity of Russia, the power of its culture, and the energy of unity. Soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre, the creative ensembles "Kostroma," "Gzhel," "Lezginka," and many others will perform on one stage. In this project, folk choreography will join together with ethno-electronics and beatboxing. The visual language of the parable is a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional ancient Russian art of mosaic. In this art, many different elements, having joined together, create a single picture. Every colour, pattern, and movement becomes part of the overall composition. The original content is incorporated into unique 3D set pieces, which combine with the choreography, complementing it and impressing the viewer.
For his part, Mikhail Polusmak, President of the Managing Organisation of the Creative Association "Krasnaya Zvezda," emphasised that the TV channel sees the partnership as an important step towards uniting efforts in working with audiences and preserving historical memory.
"The unity of the peoples of Russia is what the President defined in Decree No. 809 as one of the fundamental values of our society. The National Centre is a strategic partner of the Zvezda TV channel, and one of its main goals is to tell about the people, events, and achievements that shape the history and the modern-day image of our country. I am confident that this cooperation will allow us to combine our capabilities, expand educational work, and find new formats for communicating with audiences," said Mikhail Polusmak.
The parties expressed confidence that the agreement will mark the beginning of a long and fruitful cooperation. Ahead lie joint educational and patriotic initiatives, new formats of dialogue with residents of the country, and common work to ensure that the achievements of the country and its people resonate with the widest possible audience — both on the air of the Zvezda TV channel and in the space of the National Centre RUSSIA.
Serving one's country begins not with grand words, but with the daily choice to do one's job honestly and see it through to the end.
