Pavel Malkov: the National Centre in the Ryazan Region must live its life to the fullest
The National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan Region will become a venue for major cultural, educational and business events, with areas for sport, walks and relaxation added to its grounds. The Governor of the Ryazan Region, Pavel Malkov, outlined further development plans for the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA, which opened in Ryazan on 5 October, at a regional government meeting. He also thanked everyone involved in creating the branch and noted that the Ryazan Region now has a modern space bringing together the region's history, culture, traditions and achievements.
"Our branch was built thanks to a decision by the President of the Russian Federation. We have accomplished something significant. We now have a place that brings together the culture and traditions of the Ryazan Region and all its achievements. It is also an excellent venue for major events, including those of national and international scope. There are several rooms of different sizes, and the conference hall can accommodate up to 700 people. It is currently the largest and most modern space in the region, and it will continue to develop," said Pavel Malkov.
The Governor shared plans for the project's further development, including improvements to the grounds around the branch: "Above all, it must always be bustling with life. A dedicated programme of activities and events has been scheduled through to the end of January."
According to the Governor, there are plans to create two areas for different leisure activities: "Sports Hub" and "Quiet Recreation". The first will feature a skatepark, a pump track, a CrossFit and parkour area, and a streetball court. The other space will be designed for walks, relaxed conversation and small events. Plans include an amphitheatre for lectures, chess tables, a children's playground, walking paths and green spaces.
Exposition projects remain an important part of the branch's activities. Visitors can currently see the exposition "Viktor Ivanov. Only What Touches the Heart", dedicated to the work of the People's Artist Viktor Ivanov. It features works from the artist's personal collection. Pavel Malkov emphasised the particular significance of the artist's work for the region and invited residents and visitors to see the exposition.
The further development of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan Region will involve both a busy programme of events and more opportunities for relaxation and socialising on the surrounding grounds. The main goal is to make the branch a place people want to return to for new experiences and where residents can take an active part in the life of the region.
