"Platform of the Future": regional exposition to open at the National Centre RUSSIA
On
September 2, 2025, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the opening of the
exposition "Regions 2030. Platform of the Future." The project will
showcase the achievements of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation
and their strategic development plans. The first seven regions to take part in
the exposition are: the Chelyabinsk, Tula, Voronezh and Amur regions, the
Nenets Autonomous Area, the Republic of Dagestan, and the Jewish Autonomous
Region.
Each region
has prepared a dedicated stand combining modern multimedia technologies with
genuine historical artefacts. The expositions will feature interactive
installations highlighting the regions’ economic, social and cultural
achievements. Special attention will be given to promising territorial
development projects.
Visitors to
the exposition will be able to embark on a virtual journey across Russia’s
regions aboard the legendary 2-3-2V steam locomotive. The object will be an
exact replica of the experimental high-speed locomotive designed in 1938 at the
Voroshilovgrad Locomotive Plant. Guests will see how the engineering solutions
of the past century resonate with today’s transport innovations.
"The exposition 'Regions 2030. Platform
of the Future' at the National Centre RUSSIA is a showcase of the regions,
where each constituent entity presents its wealth, achievements, and visions of
the future. On September 2, the stands of seven regions — from the industrial
Chelyabinsk region to the authentic Dagestan — will be the first to open. Every
visitor will see the country’s tomorrow at the exposition and will have the
opportunity to take part in creating it today," emphasised Natalia
Virtuozova, Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The
exposition will be located on the second floor of the National Centre RUSSIA in
Pavilion No. 7.
"The
interweaving of cultural authenticity and modern technologies inspires us to
reach new heights. It is exactly within this paradigm that we are moving
forward in the development of the Nenets Autonomous Area. We look forward to
welcoming everyone to our region’s stand," said Irina Gekht, Acting
Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Area.
"The
exposition will bring together representatives of government bodies, business,
and scientific and educational organisations to discuss strategies for the
development of Russia’s regions in the coming years. To be first means to set
the tone and serve as an example for others. That is why this is a great honour
and a great responsibility for us. We are pleased to have the opportunity to
showcase our achievements in various sectors of the economy, share innovative
ideas and projects, and present the development prospects of our region. I am
confident that the business, cultural, educational, and gastronomic events will
allow us to fully highlight the wealth and diversity of Tula land and present
its great potential on the country’s main stage," said Dmitry Milyaev,
Governor of the Tula Region.
"We
will be among the first to hold a regional day at the National Centre RUSSIA.
On September 23, as part of the regional exposition, our stand will host Amur
Region Day. This is a great responsibility and a great honour. We will tell
visitors to the centre about the development prospects of Priamurye up to 2030,
and about the investment and tourism appeal of the region. By order of the
President of Russia, three major federal projects are being implemented in the
region: the construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome and the gas chemical
cluster, as well as the expansion of the BAM and the Trans-Siberian Railway.
These projects have given an additional boost to the region’s development. We
have much to surprise visitors to the National Centre RUSSIA with," said
Vasily Orlov, Governor of the Amur Region.
"For
our autonomy, the opportunity to tell our story at the National Centre RUSSIA
is a great honour and a great responsibility. We will present the Jewish
Autonomous Region as a land of unique nature and culture, where today
consistent efforts are being made to create opportunities for the development
of every resident, and where guests are always welcome. It is a region with
great potential for economic growth, rich in natural resources, and home to
enterprising, talented people," emphasised Maria Kostyuk, Acting Governor
of the Jewish Autonomous Region.
Tula
Region: Crafts of Russia
Visitors to
the Tula region exposition will have the opportunity to immerse themselves step
by step in the past, present, and future of the region. The work of the great
Russian writer Leo Tolstoy and his family estate Yasnaya Polyana, which
attracts tourists from all over the world, the outstanding landscape paintings
of Vasily Polenov, capturing the beauty of central Russia’s nature, and
traditional crafts represented by samovars, gingerbread and accordions — all of
this will be presented at the stand.
In the
"Tula — Present" section, visitors will be able to learn about the
region’s achievements in sport, try their hand at sporting activities
themselves, and take a virtual tour of the small towns of the Tula region.
The "Future"
zone will showcase landmark developments in unmanned aerial systems, the
chemical industry, and high technologies. On the region’s days, all guests at
the stand will be treated to coffee "with the flavour of the future."
Amur
Region: Eastern Gateway of Russia
The Amur
region stand combines several key elements: a dynamic map of the region’s
economic connections, a detailed model of the Vostochny Cosmodrome, and the
interactive installation "Bridge of Friendship," symbolising
partnership ties with China.
Nenets
Autonomous Area: Spirit of the Arctic
The Nenets
Autonomous Area exposition will give visitors a sense of immersion in the harsh
yet beautiful atmosphere of the North. This will be achieved through a special
temperature installation with a cooling system, light projections of the
northern lights, and genuine household items of the indigenous peoples of the
North.
Chelyabinsk
Region: Land of a Special Alloy
At the
exposition, the Chelyabinsk region will be presented as a "land of a
special alloy." This image was chosen for a reason: it unites the region’s
industrial and scientific potential, its rich cultural legacy, and the natural
beauty of the Southern Urals into an inseparable whole.
The theme
of alloy is reflected in the zoning of the exposition: an alloy of innovation
(science, IT, robotics, creative industries), technology (mechanical
engineering, infrastructure), tradition (folk crafts), and experience (tourism,
cultural and sporting events).
Through
interactive activities designed for audiences of all ages, the Chelyabinsk
region will present its promising projects and development areas — the
construction of a metro tram and a world-class inter-university campus, the
creation of a comfortable urban environment, the production of environmentally
friendly public transport (trams, trolleybuses, electric buses), the
development of industrial and space robotics, and much more.
Even the
youngest visitors will find plenty to enjoy at the stand — they will be able to
play in an interactive sandbox (developed by the Chelyabinsk-based company
"Innovations for Children"), learn about the MARFA lunar rover via
"space mail," and receive a postcard from orbit.
Schoolchildren
will be interested in phygital graffiti — the opportunity to colour a mural
using "digital" spray cans. In the "Alloy of Technologies"
zone, they will be able to try themselves as a driver of the first snow groomer
created in Russia, the Sinara-400, through a video game, and use a cyclotron to
learn about the universities of the Chelyabinsk region, their scientific
developments, and their connections with the region’s industrial enterprises.
Dagestan:
Pearl of the Caspian
The
centrepiece of the Dagestan exposition will be a model of a future resort
complex on the Caspian Sea. It will feature precise detailing — with hotel
models, a lighting system simulating different times of day, and interactive
screens providing detailed information about the project.
Separate
zones of the exposition will present the region’s rich traditional crafts, including
carpet weaving and jewellery-making, introduce visitors to the distinctive
features of Dagestan cuisine, and highlight the prospects for the development
of the agro-industrial sector.
Voronezh
Region: From Stone Tools to a Rocket Engine
The Voronezh
region exposition is built as a timeline guiding visitors from the most ancient
eras to the present day.
In the
prehistoric section of the stand, visitors will be able to see scientific
reconstructions of the dwellings of prehistoric humans and Stone Age tools
found at the Kostyonki Museum-Reserve site. The era of Peter the Great will be
represented by precise copies of the drawings of the first Russian ships and
shipbuilding tools. The modern section will be of interest for its interactive
displays, including a model of a nuclear reactor, a simulator of the
presidential Il-96 cockpit, and a holographic projection of a rocket engine.
Jewish
Autonomous Region: Crossroads of Cultures
The
economic section of the exposition will feature an interactive map of mineral
resources, a 3D model of the bridge to China, and up-to-date data on trade
turnover with the Asia-Pacific countries.
