Platformatization will determine the path of humanity: the essayist of the Open Dialogue Nailya Mehrabova at the SPIEF
One of the essayists of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the world. A new platform for global Growth", Member of the Supervisory Board of Azersun Holding (Azerbaijan) Naila Mehrabova became a guest of the session "Shaping a new platform for Global Growth" at SPIEF 2025.
Following the meeting, she spoke about platformatization, a process in which digital platforms become an important part of life, and change communication and values.
"Platformatization is a phenomenon that will determine where humanity will move in the 21st century. We talked about the fact that 80% of the world's GDP will be produced by it. This issue is very important because fundamentally new solutions are needed. It is not enough just to understand the rules according to which platformatization currently exists — it is important to rise above the system. By combining industries that have not been combined before, it is possible to come up with fundamentally innovative solutions. It is not enough to follow the existing trends — we need a superstructure over them," Nailya Mehrabova shared her opinion.
The session "Shaping a new platform for Global Growth" presented the final report of the results of the International Open Dialogue held by the National Centre RUSSIA. It became the first in the business program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 18.
The meeting discussed the current challenges of our time: economic and political fragmentation, demographic changes, the consequences of the introduction of breakthrough technologies, as well as the social and technological gap both within and between countries.
The session was held in the format of consecutive discussions, in which the speakers discussed economics, technology and people in a rapidly changing world. SPIEF 2025 takes place from 18 to 21 June. A recording of the broadcast of the session "Shaping a new platform for global growth" can be viewed on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA.
