On June 7, the Exposition hosted an awarding ceremony for
the winners of the VI International Contest "Tell the World about Your
Motherland". Its participants — children from Russia and abroad —
presented their works to the jury, in which they expressed their love and
respect for their native land.
The event was held in Pavilion No. 55 "Home of Youth -
RUSSIA EXPO" in the lecture hall of the Russian Society
"Knowledge" — the general partner of the educational program of the
Exposition.
The award ceremony was attended by Sergei Kolbin, member of

At the beginning of the event, Sergei Kolbin addressed the
audience and noted that this contest is a great opportunity to show all the
beauty and diversity of their country. "I saw very important points in
your works: love for the Motherland, pride in its history and diversity. You
showed these feelings with sincerity and talent. You are the future of our
country, and the Russian state will be in good hands with such caring
patriots," said Sergei Kolbin.
The awarding took place in several nominations and was
divided into age categories.
In the first nomination, participants under seven years old
made a video "Tell the World about Your Motherland" and told about
their native land. More than 2.5 thousand works were submitted. The winner in
this creative competition was six-year-old Artem Sbitnev from the Kemerovo
region.
In this nomination among foreign countries the winner was Timur Dashibalov, who was awarded by the First Secretary of the Embassy of Mongolia in Russia Ochirbat Yanzhmaa. "In the Mongolian language literature class, I wrote a poem 'My Motherland'. It was my first work. Since then I started to be fond of literature and thanks to the inspiration, as well as the incredible labor of my teacher I was admitted to the profile university in Moscow," said Ochirbat Yanzhmaa.
Children in the age categories 7-11, 11-15, 15+ were also
awarded in the nominations "For the Preservation of Traditional Family
Values and Continuity of Generations", as well as "Tell the World
about Your Motherland", in which the participants had to tell about their
love for their small homeland with the help of presentations and pictures.
In addition, Olesya Vilkova from Nizhny Novgorod region was
awarded in the nomination "Mentor". With her help almost 100 works
were sent to the contest by young participants.
