Poet and publicist Igor Karaulov to speak at an open discussion of the literary club "What to Read?!"
On the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, a meeting of the literary club "What to Read?! " will be held on 21 February at the National Centre RUSSIA. The attendees will focus on love for the Motherland, courage, and fortitude embodied in books. They will address the heroism of people on the frontline, the blogosphere, the connection between the rear and the front, the contemporary role of war poetry, and touch upon many other topics.
The discussion will be moderated by Alexei Chesnakov, Head of the Scientific Council of the Centre for Political Conjuncture, author of the Telegram channel Chesnakov Library, and Professor at the Higher School of Economics. His guest will be the Russian poet and publicist Igor Karaulov. Among his works are the books "My Side of History", "The Main Words", "The War Won't Last Forever", the essay collection "The Difficult Age of the Century", and other writings.
The open discussion on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day will focus on exploring the heroism of people on the frontline through the prism of war journalism. Meeting participants will explore literature and cinema as sources of inspiration for young people, talk about humanitarian missions, the blogosphere, the connection between the rear and the front, the role of war poetry in preserving national historical memory, and much more.
