Showcasing the country today and tomorrow: Yelizaveta Likhacheva on her vision for the National Centre RUSSIA branches
Events dedicated to Global Exhibition Day were held on June 10 and 11 at the National Centre RUSSIA – one of the key participants in the country's exposition movement. A panel discussion addressed how branches of the National Centre RUSSIA could be developed in the country's regions and what opportunities their opening presents.
Art scholar, architecture historian Yelizaveta Likhacheva took part in the session. She shared her vision for the branches of the National Centre RUSSIA.
"Our main problem is, at the same time, our main advantage – the significant remoteness of regions from one another. For example, the Caucasus and the Far East, Kamchatka and the Arkhangelsk region. In reality, we don't know our country well. Not everyone can afford to travel extensively. One of the main themes and tasks of the National Centre RUSSIA is to acquaint residents of different regions with what our country truly represents," believes Yelizaveta Likhacheva.
In her view, nothing showcases a state's potential like its industrial enterprises, and culture is also important. Yelizaveta Likhacheva emphasised that when creating branches of the National Centre RUSSIA, attention must be paid to both historical legacy and modern achievements. She identified the main focus of activity as telling the story of Russia today and what it should aspire to be tomorrow.
This year, Global Exhibitions Day is being held under the motto "Speaking the Same Language." Event participants are discussing expositions as a universal language for communication and a platform for self-realisation.
The first day of this event at the National Centre RUSSIA was dedicated to young specialists and everyone aspiring to develop in the field of event organisation. Participants interacted with experienced industry representatives and learned about the key skills an event organiser should possess. The second day's programme was aimed at professionals in the events industry. Industry leaders discussed the development prospects for exposition and convention activities, sharing best practices and successful methods.
