Screenings of new Russian TV series for the 80th anniversary of Victory will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA during the May holidays
Ahead of Victory Day, the Internet Development Institute (ANO "IRI") together with the National Centre RUSSIA has prepared a program titled "Stories of War Brought to Life: New Russian TV Series for the 80th Anniversary of Victory." This is a series of free screenings of military-historical and documentary projects dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, which will take place during the May holidays.
Viewers will see the military drama "Taganrog" about Soviet boys and girls who fought against Nazi invaders in occupied Taganrog; the documentary project "Victory," which, using archival footage and dramatic reenactments with actors, will portray major battles of the Great Patriotic War through the eyes of those without whom this Victory would not have been possible; the military drama "Then That’s Our Road" about friends serving in the same infantry regiment, driven forward by a song about them titled "Road to Berlin," created by poet and frontline correspondent Major Dolmatovsky; and the drama "On the Trail of the Beast" about the work of Soviet counterintelligence officers during the turning points of the war.
The production teams of each project will also attend the screenings, share stories about working on the series, and speak with the audience.
The screenings will take place on May 1, 2, 4, and 7. Each event begins at 16:00. Full details are available on the website russia.ru in the "Events" section.
