Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky has launched an educational week: teachers prepare for the RUSSIA EXPO
Vladimir Medinsky, Aide to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, has launched an educational week in Moscow and the Moscow region. For eight days, teachers will receive methodological materials for lessons and excursions to the International RUSSIA EXPO, which will be opened on November 4. The educational week will be held for teachers of schools and colleges, supplementary education, counselors.
Vladimir Medinsky also told how Russian education has changed in recent times. He reminded that by the decision of the President, the spheres of higher education and science, and school education were divided into different ministries.
"In this case, we are not only dealing with pumping in specific knowledge. We are more concerned with educating a child, showing him how to study in the future, opening the doors to the big world for him", -Medinsky emphasized.
As a result, many school issues can be resolved much more quickly, from construction and renovation to the creation of new textbooks.
"Since 2015, there have been talks about a unified history textbook for schools. And the President spoke about the need for such a textbook eight years ago. But it is only now that the necessary political and administrative decisions have finally been taken, which allowed this process to be launched with great speed", — he added.
The changes will also affect textbooks on other subjects, helping to improve their quality and save state funds.
