You can visit the "Journey Across Russia" exposition from the comfort of your home now
The official website of the National Centre RUSSIA has launched a digital project — a virtual tour of the "Journey Across Russia" exposition. Millions of users around the world can now take an immersive tour of our country without leaving home. The project was created using 360-degree panoramic filming technology, which provides a full sense of immersion into the atmosphere of each of Russia’s eight federal districts.
The launch of the virtual tour is an important step in fulfilling the mission of the National Centre RUSSIA to preserve and promote the country’s cultural, historical and economic potential. The geography of in-person visitors to the exposition is already broad, but now literally anyone with internet access can learn about Russia’s history, achievements, culture and landmarks. This is especially significant for our compatriots living abroad.
The interactive "Journey Across Russia" tour allows users to explore key exhibits in detail, highlighting the distinctive features, industrial and scientific development, culture, traditions and natural wealth of every corner of the country — from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka. Users can freely "move" through the halls, zoom in on objects of interest, and view additional information materials.
The virtual format does not replace an in-person visit but complements it, making it possible to plan a route in advance or relive impressions afterwards. Moreover, the project opens up new opportunities in education and learning, becoming a convenient tool for teachers, students and anyone wishing to broaden their horizons.
The "Journey Across Russia" virtual tour is already available on the official website Russia.ru via the link.
The "Journey Across Russia" exposition opened at the National Centre RUSSIA in March 2025. This large-scale exposition enables visitors to travel across the entire country in just one hour — from the Far East to Kaliningrad — and to see the main achievements, innovative developments, and cultural, natural and historical landmarks of all federal districts. The exhibition space of more than 3,000 sq. m is divided into eight thematic zones, corresponding to Russia’s eight federal districts — the Far Eastern, Siberian, Volga, Central, North Caucasus, Southern and Ural districts, as well as the Arctic and Northwestern.
The exposition is designed for visitors of all ages. Special attention is given to interactive elements that provide a full sense of immersion in the content.
