Presentation of the "Novorossiya" collectible scarf by Anna Danilova was held at the National Centre RUSSIA
On May 31,
the "Novorossiya" collectible scarf, created by the President of the
charitable foundation "Russian Land" and author of the international
campaign "Blue Scarf of Victory," Anna Danilova, was presented in the
"Space of Opportunities" at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The project
was carried out in collaboration with the Russian Military Historical Society
and with the participation of Alexander Malkevich, member of the Presidential
Council for Civil Society and Human Rights, with the support of the Senezh
Management Workshop under the presidential platform ANO "Russia – Land of
Opportunity."
The event,
timed to coincide with International Children’s Day, brought together young
participants – schoolchildren, cadets, and future servicemen. In the format of
a historical lesson through art, guests became acquainted with the rich legacy
of Novorossiya.
Scarf author Anna Danilova emphasised the importance of cultivating historical memory among young people.
"I am
convinced that in order to build a strong and conscious future, it is essential
to preserve and pass on historical memory from generation to generation.
History is not just a set of facts from the past; it is the foundation on which
our identity, our culture, our understanding of the world rest. And I believe
that this memory can be preserved not only in museums and archives but also in
new, modern, and inspiring forms," said Anna Danilova.
The
"Novorossiya" collectible scarf is a work of art dedicated to the
260th anniversary of the establishment of the Novorossiya Governorate. It
features historical maps from the eras of Catherine II and Nicholas II, as well
as contemporary outlines of territories that have rejoined Russia. At the
centre is a double-headed eagle – a symbol of Russian statehood – while the
colour palette, ranging from sandy yellow to turquoise, refers to the steppes
and the Black Sea, symbolising peace, stability, and continuity.
A special
guest of the event was journalist, television presenter, and public figure
Alexander Malkevich, who shared personal experiences related to the region and
spoke about the historical significance of Novorossiya in the context of modern
Russia.
Also
joining the discussion were Sergei Kuzovnikov, Strategy Director and Adviser to
the Director General of TASS, and Artyom Boldyrev, a member of the
"Veterans of the Special Military Operation Association" of Moscow
and an employee of the First City Clinical Hospital named after N.I. Pirogov.
At the beginning of the special military operation, he volunteered on the front
line, where, as part of a special purpose medical unit, he provided aid to the
wounded on the Kherson front. Over two short-term contracts, more than 5,000
people passed through his hands.
Speakers
also included representatives of the Russian Military Historical Society and
the Senezh Management Workshop, who emphasised the role of cultural and
educational initiatives in strengthening civic identity and patriotism.
The
presentation in the "Space of Opportunities" became an example of how
historical legacy can be transmitted through modern forms and become part of a
vibrant intergenerational dialogue.
The
"Space of Opportunities" is the result of joint work by the country’s
major public organisations: the Movement of the First, Rosmolodezh, the
"Russia – Land of Opportunity" platform, the Russian society Znanie,
and the National Centre RUSSIA.
