The natural wealth of the Urals will be presented at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition
On March 1,
the National Centre RUSSIA will launch a new large-scale project, "Journey
Across Russia." The exposition will showcase all federal districts of the
country. In particular, visitors will be able to explore both the natural
treasures and economic achievements of the Urals.
The Ural
Federal District will be divided into several thematic zones, including one
dedicated to the region’s famous gemstones. Together with the Mistress of the
Copper Mountain, guests will embark on a journey into the depths of the Ural
lands, learning about mines, minerals, and gemstones such as emerald, amethyst,
and topaz. Additionally, the Urals are home to deposits of malachite, jasper,
as well as sapphires, rubies, peridots, rock crystal, and other high-quality
gemstones.
In addition
to gemstones, the Urals are rich in all types of mineral resources, including
oil and gas, metal ores, as well as hard and brown coal. Deposits of metal
ores, precious stones, and gemstones are located in the mountainous areas,
while oil, gas, coal, and salts are found in the foothills.
The
exposition will also showcase the history of the ancient city of Arkaim and a
section of Russia’s largest active marble quarry, Koelginsky. Thanks to AI
technologies, every visitor will have the opportunity to see themselves as a
marble statue.
During the all-Russian survey "What does the Motherland begin with?", people across the country are answering this question in their own way, opening up the innermost corners of their souls.
Souvenir nevalyashkas (traditional Russian roly-poly dolls), are attracting particular attention, with guests choosing them for their harmonious combination of Russian colour and traditional Chinese symbols.
Under the guidance of artisans, each guest made an unusual souvenir that can become either a personal talisman or a gift with a special story.
