Development of sports was discussed at the RUSSIA EXPO

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko held a meeting on sports development in the pavilion of the Government Coordination Center at the International RUSSIA EXPO. The participants discussed the issues of harmonizing the current sports legislation.

The First Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Azat Kadyrov, Deputy Minister of Sports Alexei Morozov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Sergey Tsvetkov took part in the meeting.

During the meeting the first results of the implementation of the Law on Harmonization of Sport and Education were summed up. According to Dmitry Chernyshenko, the Government and all interested departments involved the head of state, carried out significant work on regulatory and organizational support for the implementation of the law. In 2022, sports training standards and educational programs have been approved, and a monitoring system has been created to track the situation and provide targeted support to the regions.

"On the instructions of the President, work is underway to harmonize sports training programs and supplementary general education programs in the field of physical culture and sports. We see that 100% of schools, that is more than 5 thousand organizations, have received the necessary licenses by the deadline. More than 11,000 sports facilities have been brought up to standard and are fully prepared for young athletes. I would like to thank all regions for their work", — said the Deputy Prime Minister.

The meeting also addressed enrollment in sports schools through the portal of public services of the Russian Federation (Unified Public Services Portal, EPGU).

"Using the information system "Physical Culture and Sports", implemented on the platform of Gostech, we have launched the possibility of online enrollment in sports schools. According to the Ministry of Sports, more than 44,000 applications have been submitted using this system since March this year. Over 13 thousand children have already been enrolled in sports schools. As of today, the target rate of applications submitted through the Public Services is 30%. I ask to increase the share of such applications to 100% by September 1 next year", — instructed Dmitry Chernyshenko.

During the meeting the issue of tax deduction for services in the field of physical culture and sports was raised. Deputy Prime Minister noted that over the last year more than 178 thousand people have already used the right to apply for a deduction for classes in sports organizations included in the list of the Ministry of Sports. From next year, the amount from which the deduction will be calculated, will be increased to 150 thousand rubles.

"It is necessary to actively promote information about the applied tax benefits. Regions need to create motivation programs for organizations joining the deduction program for physical culture and recreation services. I also implore the Ministry of Sport to provide encouragement to the leading regions in terms of the number of organizations, for sports activities in which citizens can receive a tax deduction", — commented the Deputy Prime Minister.

The implementation of measures for the development of sports infrastructure within the framework of federal projects "Sport — the norm of life", "Development of physical culture and mass sports" and "Business Sprint" was also discussed at the session.

"The development of sports infrastructure remains one of the priority tasks of the Government. We will continue to make every effort to create new and modernize the existing sports infrastructure. There are 353.5 thousand sports facilities in Russia, since 2019 their number has increased by more than 30 thousand. The Government will definitely provide support to all subjects that have faced difficulties, but the regional authorities also need to do everything possible to commission facilities on time", — said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Dmitry Chernyshenko instructed to continue work on all the addressed issues, as well as to promptly and specifically take the necessary support measures.
