Rare cheeses and wild fish from Kamchatka: the delights of the Farmers Fair and interesting things to see along the way
This week,
the Farmers Fair is wrapping up its activities, but until July 7 inclusive, in
Pavilion No. 48, guests can still purchase delicacies from across the country:
Siberian wild plants, red fish and caviar, dried meats and sausages, Adyghe
cheeses and classic European-style cheeses.
It's
definitely worth taking a stroll to the Farmers Fair. It won't take much time,
and along the way, you can visit various pavilions and, of course, see the art
objects of the "Future in Flowers" festival, as well as the famous
flowerbed expositions of the regions.
If your
path starts from the main entrance, make sure to visit the Gallery of
Achievements of Russia, admire the floral expositions of ministries and
corporations near the Friendship of Peoples fountain. Especially striking is
the impressive floral cube where you can take photographs inside. Then, head
straight to the next fountain, the Stone Flower. Beyond it, guests will find
Pavilion No. 59, where VEB.RF presents its exposition. This technological space
of the city of the future will be interesting for both adults and children, and
at the end of the tour, you can enjoy coffee prepared by a robot barista.
Immediately
after Pavilion No. 59 begins the space of the flower festival, where you can
attend lectures on flower cultivation, see the best varieties of roses, tulips
and lilies from Russian breeders, and get inspired to create your own garden or
even start a floral business. Here you can also admire unique flower
expositions from different regions, arranged around the Vostok rocket.
From the
flower festival, it's a stone's throw to the Farmers Fair; the road to it
begins just after the "Space" pavilion and passes by the hippodromes.
During the final week, guests can try and purchase mushrooms and berries from
ecologically clean areas of Siberia, cheeses from the Belgorod region and
Sevastopol, including the rare semi-hard cheese "Tête de Moine",
wine-aged cheese and cheese with aromatic coffee crust. Additionally, there are
wild fish and caviar from Kamchatka, healthy nut desserts from Moscow and meat
products from the Moscow region awaiting visitors.
The event
was the second in the framework of the project "Open School: Presentation
of Best Practices."
At the exposition "Legacy for the Future," approximately 250 works by young artists from different countries are presented.
