On March 18, a new route "Russian Spring", timed to the anniversary of Crimea's reunification with Russia, was launched at the International RUSSIA EXPO. The thematic tour tells guests about the historical events that occurred 10 years ago: how the whole country, united, helped to return the peninsula to its native harbor.

The first tour for guests was led by the Crimean Sergei Samoilov, a tour guide of the Rosmolodezh program "More than a Trip" at the Exposition.

"I, a Crimean myself, know for sure that even 10 years later for my fellow countrymen the return to Russia is the main holiday. I am grateful to the program of Rosmolodezh "More than a Trip" for the fact that I now have the opportunity to be useful to the guests of the Exposition and to my Fatherland. Tour guides are a fundamental link in the whole structure of the Exposition, because we are the ones who tell about the achievements of the country in recent years, we are the "guides of meanings". The role of a "guide of meanings" is honorable for me," said Sergei Samoilov.

The guests of the route will learn about the history of Crimea's development and interconnection with other regions of the country, its achievements of the last decade, as well as about the projects of Rosmolodezh that are actively developing on the territory of the peninsula.

As part of the events dedicated to the anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia, on March 18, the Exposition also hosted a procession "Crimea - Sevastopol - Russia FOREVER!", which was attended by 100 guides from among the "guides of meanings" of the program of Rosmolodezh "More than a Trip".

The procession led by a brass band started from the arch of the Main Entrance of VDNH. During the procession the musicians performed compositions dedicated to the series of events of the Russian Spring. The participants marched to Pavilion No. 75, where the guides of the Rosmolodezh program "More than a Trip" unfurled 15-meter flags of Russia, Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea.

Among the guests of honor, who followed along the route with the column of participants of the festive procession were the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk, Advisor to the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Kudrin, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea - Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Crimea Olga Slavgorodskaya, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea Dmitry Sheryako, Head of the Regional Executive Committee of the All-Russian People's Front in Sevastopol Larisa Melnik, Head of the Youth Policy Department of the Republic of Crimea Marina Slonchenko.

"It is a great honor for me to take part in the festive procession, to open the celebration of the day of the tenth anniversary of Sevastopol's reunification with Russia at the grand RUSSIA EXPO. All generations gathered here, we rallied together as we did then, in 2014. This support from the whole country is still felt today. This day is immeasurably important for us - 10 years ago we returned home. Sevastopol is with Russia forever," emphasized Marina Slonchenko, head of the Youth Policy Department of Sevastopol.

Among the 100 guides participating in the procession there were also Crimeans. 17 residents of the peninsula in the current regional shift work as tour guides of the main Exposition of the country's achievements.

"You experience great enthusiasm when carrying the flag of your country. At that moment, I thought of my family members and my child who will be proud of me when they see it. Our children sing the anthem of Russia and Sevastopol every morning. It is meaningful for them that parents take part in such important events for the state," Leila Omarova, a tour guide from Sevastopol, shared her emotions.

"For me, this procession was an eye-opener. At the Exposition we are treated very warmly, we are loved. I was impressed first of all by the organization of the process. I sincerely chanted the words "Crimea - Sevastopol - Russia FOREVER!" said Ksenia Kosinova from Sevastopol.

Today the program "More than a Trip" develops the professional community "Guides of Meanings", which includes more than 5 thousand guides from 89 regions, including guides of the RUSSIA EXPO. Representatives of the community promote the tourist potential of the regions and useful trips around the country.

For the first time in the recent history of Russia, all the country's achievements are visually presented on one platform of the RUSSIA EXPO. 14 excursion routes from Rosmolodezh's "More Than a Trip" program introduce visitors to the country's successes of recent years.
