Semyon Mikhaylovsky shared his impressions of working with National Centre RUSSIA
At the
panel discussion "A Space of Opportunities for Young Artists in Russia:
Rethinking the Future," the curator of the International Exposition of
Young Artists "Legacy for the Future" — Rector of the Ilya Repin St.
Petersburg Academy of Arts, Semyon Mikhaylovsky — shared his impressions of
working with National Centre RUSSIA.
"When
I first came to National Centre RUSSIA, I assumed it would be all about
formalities. But instead, I met intelligent, thoughtful, and friendly people
who are focused on meaningful work. This is a true community of like-minded
individuals — not only wonderful people but also an overall very positive atmosphere.
It is a comfortable place to work and a pleasure to be here," said Semyon
Mikhaylovsky.
The
exposition "Legacy for the Future" at National Centre RUSSIA was open
from November 4, 2024, to February 2, 2025. Semyon Mikhaylovsky noted that the
interests and worldview of young artists from different countries, whose works
were presented in the exposition, largely coincide despite cultural
differences.
The
exposition "Legacy for the Future" featured more than 250 artworks by
young authors from six countries — Russia, China, India, Brazil, Ethiopia, and
Iran. Over the three months of its run, the exposition was visited by more than
110,000 people.
Professor, Honorary Research Fellow at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) in Bangladesh Mustafizur Rahman will be another international participant of the Open Dialogue.
