The tournament was organized by the Society "Knowledge" within the framework of the contest Dynasties of Russia.
The All-Russian Family Forum became the first event of the Year of Family in Russia, announced by the decree of President Vladimir Putin and aimed at uniting dynasties from all over the country, dialog of generations and co-creation of children and adults.
A family is good, but a dynasty is even better, and the audience of the Dynasties of Russia contest, which took place at the Dear — Loved Ones Family Forum, could make sure of it. In Pavilion No. 57 Russia - My History family teams tried their hand in one of the nominations - intellectual tournament Knowledge.Game "Linking Generations". More than 70 families from 58 regions of the country took part in the tournament. Thus, the dynasty of doctors Yatsishins from the Amur region, the Cossack dynasty of Byankins from the Kamchatka region, the teaching dynasty of Abakshins from the Perm region and many others joined the tournament.
The quiz included two qualifying rounds. According to the results of the first stage, 18 strongest teams made it to the finals, and after the second stage — 15 more most erudite and friendly families. The leaders by the number of points scored were the Kartashev family from the Orel region, the Artamonovs from the Tula region and the Mineevs - Kozlovs from the Vladimir region.
The host of the final round was Maxim Potashev, a mathematician, president of the Russian Federation of Sport Bridge, master of the What? Where? When? game , four-time winner of the Crystal Owl prize, father of many children. At the host's prompting, the family teams competed in their knowledge of Russia's history and achievements. But in addition to the classic "question - answer" format, the quiz included musical and visual rounds, as well as challenging questions from a savvy expert. The tasks of the contest were selected so as to involve representatives of different generations: in some cases the "fathers" were stronger and better prepared, and in some cases the "children" had the upper hand.
"We came from the Republic of Mordovia as a big family: me, my husband, six children and our grandfathers. To represent Mordovia at the forum is a great honor for us. There was a lot of excitement, but from the very first minutes we were swept up in a whirlwind of events. We reached the finals of the talent show, listened to lectures, I even received a prize for the most interesting question to the speaker. Bright impressions were left by participation in the quiz Knowledge.Game "Linking Generations": the questions were different, sometimes we had to remember the school program and books we read, but this is the most interesting thing - to make the brain work. Especially since there were many talented families participating in the quiz, there were no others!" Lyudmila Adushkina, a mother of many children, shared her impressions.
The top ten winners included: the Sharankevich family, Republic of Crimea; the Titov family, Chelyabinsk region; the Ovsyannikov family, St. Petersburg; the Serebryakov family, Sverdlovsk region; the Rodkin family, Republic of Mordovia; the Solyakov family and the Babin family, Kurgan region; the Ivanov-Shabaldin family, Vologda region.
Maxim Potashev announced the winners of the tournament. The host noted that the competition was so fierce that the organizers decided not to divide the 1st and 2nd places, but to award both families that showed the highest erudition and team spirit: the Gaifullin-Safin family from the city of Naberezhnye Chelny and the Yuzvik family representing the Leningrad region.
The Yuzvik dynasty of teachers from the town of Murino, Leningrad region, came to the forum in full force.
"It was very interesting to compete with so many participating teams and to win in the end. Every member of the family contributed to the victory, even our youngest participant demonstrated remarkable knowledge and good intuition. But we are especially proud of our older kids - they often gave answers on the fly, without thinking, and that's really great," said family mother Tatiana Yuzvik.
The Gaifullin-Safin family came to the contest as a team, where the mom, dad and four children were joined by grandparents, aunts and mother's cousin.
"We thought — well, we'll participate, and then we'll see how it goes. Of course, we could not even imagine that we would reach the finals and then be among the winners. We really liked the variety of questions: we have four children, and when we had to guess cartoons, our youngest ones helped us a lot to score points! And we also benefited from the fact that we are all very different - there are technicians, economists and artists in the family. But we think and act as one team. Probably, the fact that we are not just a family in life, but a whole dynasty — we all work at the legendary KAMAZ," the Gaifullin-Safin family shared their impressions.
At the end of the tournament, the 10 winning teams received memorable gifts from the Russian Society "Knowledge" and the Movement of the First. All participants were given certificates for useful, active trips around Russia within the framework of the Rosmolodezh program More than a Trip.
Another track of the Dynasties of Russia contest, prepared by the "Knowledge" Society, was a contest of family masterclasses Jack of All Trades. It was held from January 19 to 20 at the venue of Pavilion No. 55 Home of Youth. The participants had the task to brightly and interestingly present their family's skills. The family presentations were evaluated by a jury consisting of laureates of the Knowledge.Prize and Knowledge.Lecturer competitions and graduates of the New Media Workshop.
