The oldest city of the Novosibirsk region presented its culture at VDNH
On February 15, residents of Berdsk, one of the oldest towns in the region, presented the culture of their small homeland.
At the stand of the Novosibirsk region in Pavilion 75 they organized an exposition of books by Berdsk writers - Anatoly Sorokin, Yuri Pavkin, Evgeny Tareyev. The memory of the representatives of Siberian literature of the XX century is carefully preserved: their sculptures are installed in the city park of Berdsk, Tareyev readings and Sorokin readings are held in memory of the poets, a street and a central library are named after Anatoly Sorokin, and a museum in his memory has been created.
Ceramic toys made of Doroginsky clay are a special pride of Berdsk residents. Whistle toys, created on the motives of Russian fairy tales and jest songs, are made in a special style, which has no analogues in the country. Berdsk toys are popular not only in Siberia, but also in the European part of Russia and together with their author Svetlana Udobkina deservedly receive awards at festivals and competitions. On February 15, a mini exposition of toys was held at the stand of the Novosibirsk region.
The Berdsk School of Arts "Bereginya" held folk and ritual games at the stand - there were jest songs and Siberian fairy tales narrated to the balalaika. Since its opening more than 30 years ago, the school has specialized in the study and preservation of folk art culture. Besides, visitors of the stand could take part in masterclasses on Ordynsk painting and knitting conducted for them by specialists of the Novosibirsk Regional House of Folk Art.
In the coming days VDNH will host the Days of Novosibirsk Education and Science (February 17-18), Siberian IT Week (February 20-25), the Week of Culture of the Novosibirsk Region (March 27-April 2), concerts and events dedicated to International Women's Day, the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus, and others.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is organized in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The Novosibirsk region's exposition at VDNH is presented by order of Governor Andrei Travnikov.

"Future of Multipolar World."
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
