Diamond wall, Olonkho and the world tree: how Yakutia surprises
Yakutia is not only a glacier "realm of
permafrost", mammoths and diamonds. Here you can see sand dunes, a giant
quarry and the famous Lena Pillars. You will learn even more interesting things
about the Republic of Sakha at the RUSSIA EXPO.
The exposition of Yakutia turned out to be truly fabulous.
Guests are greeted by a two-meter tall bogatyr Nyurgun Bootura from the Olonkho
epic, and on the other side you can see Aal Luuk Mas. This is the world tree in
Yakut mythology, which unites the world of gods, humans and dark forces.
Walking deeper into the stand, you can learn about Yakut
legends and see artifacts of the Republic. A particularly powerful impression
is made by Yakut jewelry and national costumes, with a huge amount of
decoration and intricate details that can be gazed at endlessly.
Guests can also take part in masterclasses. For example, to
make a souvenir of mammoth tusk as a memento of Yakutia and the RUSSIA EXPO.
And also, everyone is welcome to have a photo shoot in national costumes. There
are puzzles and games for young visitors. By the way, you can make unusual
photos near the art object - a wall decorated with huge diamonds. After all,
Yakutia is famous for precious stones.
If you look at the stand, you will definitely want to plan a
trip to the mysterious Far Eastern region. To see glaciers and sand dunes with
your own eyes, to walk in the Lena Pillars Park or to climb the observation
deck of the Mir Kimberlite pipe.
