Wedding "train" and "naming of the newlyweds": A wedding according to the traditions of the Saratov region
Residents of the Saratov region performed a wedding in the historical traditions of their region at the RUSSIA EXPO. The marriage was concluded by young scientists, employees of the Saratov State Law Academy — Ivan Bodyu and Valeria Neyasova.
The guests of the ceremony saw a "bachelorette party" with a mock "bargaining" and "bride price", a wedding "train" of the groom, a blessing and other traditional ritual actions characteristic of historical folk weddings in the region.
"We learned that it would be a traditional wedding ritual in the process of preparing for the wedding. We were impressed by it all 'one by one': first by the fact that the wedding would take place at the RUSSIA EXPO, and then by the news that it would be a ceremony in our historical traditions", — said happy newlywed Ivan.
The wedding was performed by artists of the Honored Collective of Folk Art "Song and Dance Ensemble "Zorenka". The most colorful part of the performance was the "naming of the newlyweds" accompanied by a wedding song and round dance.
"Emotions are overflowing, because to represent your region is a very big honor and a great responsibility. It was very exciting, and we are very happy that everything worked out and that the registration of our marriage took place on the platform of the RUSSIA EXPO and in such a format", — added his beloved Valeria.
In total, more than 40 real weddings will be held at the International RUSSIA EXPO. Previously, employees of the Vostochny Cosmodrome, natives of the Republic of Tuva, Buryatia, Chuvashia and other regions have married here.
