Taiga coffee, Karelian jelly, and Stavropol sauce: delicious gifts for Christmas at the National Centre RUSSIA Department Store
Unusual flavour combinations, unique ingredients and additives, traditional recipes, and modern solutions. This all is about the goods from the grocery section of the National Centre RUSSIA Department Store. Here you can find delicious presents for every taste: from functional chocolate with pine cones and bee bread to forest salt and freeze-dried pickled cucumbers. We have collected several interesting treats which can delight your family members and friends, as well as yourselves.
Chaga, sagaan-dali, and pumpkin matcha latte
Tea is one of the most popular drinks in the world, and quality tea in beautiful packaging is also a wonderful gift. At the Department Store, you can find classic black, berry, and fruit teas, as well as herbal teas from various regions across the country. Also presented here are the famous Buryat tea drink sagaan-dali and tea made from the legendary chaga — a birch fungus long known for its healing properties.
But tea is not the only option; statistically, coffee is no less popular among Russians. And the Department Store offers refreshing, aromatic, and healthy coffee drinks. For example, the brand "Taiga Ryadom" ("Taiga is Near") produces the "Creamy" taiga coffee. This drink is caffeine-free, but contains a range of healthy additives. Pine nut extract is a source of B vitamins, magnesium, and iron. Red root (Hedysarum) provides energy and supports the body's defences, while chicory is beneficial for digestion and heart function.
And for connoisseurs, there are coffee drinks from Eleo — a company from the science city of Biysk. Besides classic chicory, guests can try cedar pine coffee, apricot macachino, walnut raff, pumpkin matcha latte, and spicy espresso. All drinks are sugar-free, and easy and quick to prepare. A wonderful gift for anyone who cares about their health would also be the Altai herbal balsam "Kladez Zdorovya" ("Treasury of Health"). It strengthens the immune system and supports the nervous system thanks to extracts of chaga, licorice, and echinacea.
Both sweet and salty
Cozy gatherings over a cup of tea or coffee are unimaginable without sweets. The Department Store offers jam from Karelia and Kamchatka jelly made from wild berries, chocolate-covered nuts from the Sevastopol brand "Gretsky", and crispy pastila from the Kaluga region. And for chocolate lovers, it's a genuine paradise. There are chocolates containing berries, spices, and nuts — for fans of classic flavours. But more unusual options are also presented here. These include functional chocolate containing kumyz (a fermented drink made from mare milk), bee bread, sagaan-dali and succinic acid, hop cones and citrulline malate, or even pantogematogen and amino acids.
Drinks and sweets can be bought separately to compose a Christmas gift, or you can choose a set with beautifully packaged together tea and sweets: jam, honey, and candies. There is even a special Far Eastern gift set, which, besides taiga tea, includes the famous chocolate with salt from the "Primorsky Konditer" ("Primorye Confectioner") enterprise, linden honey and cedar pine nuts, a facial mask containing sea cucumber, and a marine-themed keychain.
For those who prefer salty flavours over sweet ones, the Department Store also has something interesting. The brand "Dikorosy Bolshoy Strany" ("Wild Herbs and Berries of the Great Country") offers porcini mushrooms fried with onions and lightly salted freeze-dried pickled cucumbers, which will become an excellent addition to a wide variety of dishes, from salads to hot meals. Adding a new twist to familiar dishes is also possible with forest salt with herbs and salt with porcini mushrooms. And a familiar recipe can be turned into a restaurant-level dish by using natural sauces prepared by the Workshop of Flavours ("Masterskaya Vkusov") from Stavropol, all thanks to the harmonious combination of ingredients — for example, kiwi, lime, and jalapeño; passion fruit and chilli; or cherry and Cabernet.
The new performance "Morozko", whose showings began at the National Centre RUSSIA on 27 December, is a vivid example of the symbiosis of modern technology and the 'live' play of the artists.
The head of Karelia, Artur Parfyonchikov, named five main regional attractions for those wanting to feel the soul of the Russian North.
One of the memorable roles there — that of Kot-Bayun (the Lullaby Cat) — is performed by the actor of the Vakhtangov Theatre and the Theatre of Nations, Dmitry Solomykin.
