Visitors to the RUSSIA EXPO can expect exciting events timed to celebrate Cosmonautics Day. The program includes a solemn procession of cosmonauts, a bright concert and an interesting educational program. Here's what you should visit at the Exposition on April 12.
Space Dictation. Registration required
The Space Dictation is traditionally held since 2019, and this year it is dedicated not only to the scientific celestial industry, but also to the Year of the Family. Participants will have to answer questions about the history of national cosmonautics, flights into space and work on the International Space Station, show knowledge of astronomy and other related sciences.

Cosmonautics Day at the regional stands
A fascinating regional program awaits visitors to the Exposition. Everyone will be able to meet with cosmonaut pilots, attend unique lectures and masterclasses, as well as see space-themed pantomime theater performances.

Day of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Union of Russia
As part of the Day of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Union of Russia, visitors will be able to get exercise and open training with champions, a concert by the "Singing Hearts" VIA, as well as a series of meetings and autograph sessions with martial arts champions.

Thematic exposition "The First. The Way to the Stars"
You can immerse yourself in the world of great achievements and learn about the life of one of the most outstanding cosmonauts at the exposition "The First. The Way to the Stars. The archival photo exposition, dedicated to the Cosmonautics Day and the 90th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's birth, will allow visitors to see unique footage related to Gagarin's path to his famous flight.

Gastronomic festival "Authors and Heirs"
Finalists of "Bolshaya Peremena" (lit. "Big Change"/ "Big School Break") together with a team of young chefs will cook traditional Russian cuisine, as well as discover new flavors of Russian street food. The program includes: space meals, tasting performance "Library of Russian Flavors", masterclasses "Learn the Culinary Language of Russia", Russian street food cooking tournament "Street is Not for Wimps".

Trying on a cosmonaut's suit and spacesuit
All visitors of the Exposition will be able to try on a real suit and spacesuit used in astronaut training. This is a unique chance to put on a model of the spacesuit in which Yuri Gagarin made his first legendary flight, as well as to take memorable photos.

A special route on the space theme has been prepared for the visitors to the Exposition. Participants of the excursion will get acquainted with significant events in the space industry of the country, learn about the contribution of the regions to its development, hear interesting "space" facts about VDNH, and will be able to meet real cosmonauts and hear their stories.

"Cosmic Greetings" Concert
An exciting musical and cosmic journey from Samara - the space capital of Russia! The program includes performances of Merited Artist of Russia Sergei Voitenko, vocal group "Pyatero" and children's musical theater "Domisolka".

Solemn procession "Time of Russia! Time Forward!"
Accompanied by the brass band of the Ministry of Defence, representatives of the future aerospace industry and current cosmonauts will march through the Exposition. The procession will start with a flash mob "Charge to the Future". The dance flash mob will display the theme "Moving Forward" and will reflect the Exposition's entry into a new stage.

Creative meeting with actress Anna Kovalchuk
At the creative meeting with actress Anna Kovalchuk, schoolchildren will be able to learn about the peculiarities of her profession, interesting things happen on the set of films and behind the scenes in the theater.

Concert "Time of Russia! Time Forward!"
The concert will open with a new reading of the composition "Air March". The "Movement of the First" choir will perform a new interpretation of the famous song. Also, the Main Street Stage will feature rap singer MOT, opera singer Ksenia Dezhneva, the most "cosmic" group "Zemlyane", residents and show-ballet of the art-cluster "Tavrida".

Wedding ceremony "Light of New Stars"
The wedding ceremony of couples from space cities of the country will be the embodiment of the celestial union of newlyweds and the embodiment of romance and majesty of space. Visitors will be treated to a beautiful and touching ceremony, and the newlyweds will receive a gift from the Roscosmos Corporation.

Car parade "Time Forward!"
Cosmonauts and newlyweds will take part in the automobile parade. They will drive through the territory of VDNH in modern Russian cars Aurus, Evolute, as well as retro cars Volga GAZ-21. At the end, the participants will go up to the Main Street Stage, where the newlyweds will perform their first dance to the song "Into Space" performed by soloist of the Bolshoi Theater Ksenia Dezhneva and talk to the ISS together with the cosmonauts.

Exposition "My Heart is Full of Pity" dedicated to the anniversary of Alexei German will allow you to see the "underside" of the world, which the director built together with the crew of the film "Hard to be a God". Exposition "Our People. The Universe of Leonid Gaidai's Characters" is conceived and realized as a tour into the world of Gaidai's heroes. It consists of several sections, each telling about "types" - characters of the same type and social affiliation, who took different guises from film to film, but invariably demonstrate their true essence, characteristic of Gaidai's cinematography.
The Museum of Cinema also offers to visit the "Labyrinth of History" exposition, the memorial "Sergei Eisenstein's Study", the exposition “Oleg Yankovsky. In Dream and in Reality”, dedicated to the actor’s anniversary, and other bright exhibits related to the history of the national cinematography.
Exposition "Between Light and Darkness" was opened on the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade. The exposition highlights a number of film works that analyze the deep trauma of the whole city and demonstrate that the spark of life, faith, courage and fortitude help to preserve the human face even in inhuman conditions.

Farmers Fair
Each region has its own special flavor! Guests of the RUSSIA EXPO are invited to get acquainted with the gastronomic culture of small villages and big cities of our country at the Farmers Fair. Here you can taste and buy an incredible variety of cheeses and dairy products, sausages and smoked meat delicacies, berry drinks, juices, lemonades, fruit purees and jams, raw oils, freshly baked bread and gingerbread.

Where: You can comfortably get to our Fair by shuttle No. K which departs from Pavilion No. 75, as well as from the "Northern Loop" stop at the arch of the Main Entrance to VDNH. Pavilion No. 48 is within walking distance from the "City Farm" stop.
