At the National Centre RUSSIA, visitors can explore the art of various countries and nationalities. Chinese authors are represented through a variety of works, including photographs, sculptures, art objects, and paintings.

One of the main themes for young artists from China is the interaction between the past and the present.

The vibrant and sunny work by Wu Binbin is dedicated to the traditional art of puppet theater, which, despite its rich history and beauty, has less space in the modern world. However, the painting does not leave a gloomy impression. On the contrary, it offers hope that this ancient theatrical art form will be preserved. In the foreground, an elderly man is seen handing a toy to a child. The old masters are the keepers of traditions, passing them on to the new generation like a torch illuminating the future.

In his work, artist Huang Zhenhan reflects on the rapid changes in the world. At the core of the composition is a simple yet profound conflict between familiar but slightly outdated objects and progressive technologies. These are symbolized by two sources of light: a modern streetlamp, an essential feature of any urban street, and a kerosene lamp, which was used until the early XX century. The protagonist of the painting must decide which light suits him better. The kerosene lamp is portable, but is it necessary in a world where street lighting exists? Zhenhan's work reminds us of how the world changes and what we lose and gain over time.

To capture the beauty of his hometown, Li Pan Jun-zi created a remarkable engraving consisting of two separate images. One depicts a beautiful woman in traditional attire, while the other shows the riverbank and part of a large building in a modern and neoclassical style. Interestingly, the river itself is not visible in the artwork. The piece "The Suzhou River" offers viewers a contemporary interpretation of traditional Chinese imagery.

"Legacy for the Future" is a large-scale project by the National Centre RUSSIA, promoting the idea of a multicultural dialogue about the world's future, with humanity as its core.

The exposition presents works by young artists from six countries: Russia, China, India, Brazil, Ethiopia, and Iran. Through their art, these creators offer personal responses to contemporary challenges. They reflect on the present, express their attitude towards the past, and contemplate the future.

Visitors to the National Centre can explore the exposition independently or join free guided tours, available in 30-minute or one-hour formats. Registration is available on the website under the "Events" section.

The National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a permanent basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations, and regions take part in the Centre’s work.

The National Centre RUSSIA is located at 14 Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, Moscow. The Centre is open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day except Monday.
