On Victory Day, Saratov musicians will tell about Lidia Ruslanova at the country's main Exposition

On May 9 and 10, the Saratov Regional Ruslanova Folk Art Center will present a literary and musical project “The Legacy of Lidia Ruslanova” at the International RUSSIA EXPO.

Visitors to the Exposition will learn interesting facts about the life and work of our fellow countrywoman, as well as get acquainted with the history of the most prestigious All-Russian competition of folk song performers named after Lidia Ruslanova, which has been held on the Saratov land for 30 years.

The guests of the RUSSIA EXPO will hear the songs of the war years sung by Ruslanova on a real gramophone, and they will be able to sing immortal songs of Victory and those famous “Valenki”, which reached Berlin. As part of the project, masters of arts and crafts will share the secrets of making Saratov clay toys, and participants of the masterclass will be able to make their own unique souvenir.

Lovers of historical facts will have an opportunity to learn about “Saratov at the Front” thanks to the presentation of the documentary film of the same name.
