The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) secured approval for its project for a branch of the National Centre RUSSIA. The project was approved by the Organising Committee of the National Centre RUSSIA, chaired by the First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia, Sergei Kiriyenko. The presentation was delivered by the Head of the Republic, Aisen Nikolayev.

"We will create a modern space in Yakutsk that will present Yakutia as an integral part of a greater Russia — through its history, achievements, traditions, and, most importantly, the energy of the people who live and work on our land. The Centre is expected to open in September 2028," said Aisen Nikolayev.

He noted that the key feature of the space will be the immersive involvement of visitors in a journey across Yakutia through the use of modern technologies. According to him, through the clear and engaging language of cinema, the region aims to present Yakutia’s path through time, its character, scale, and beauty. Visitors will become participants in a shared journey that will help them feel a deeper connection with Yakutia’s past, present, and future.

"I am confident that the National Centre RUSSIA in Yakutsk, together with a large modern public space nearby, will become a point of attraction for people of different generations — a place for meetings, expositions, events, educational and public initiatives. It will allow us to present everything that Yakutia is proud of in a new way and to highlight its contribution to Russia’s development even more vividly," he added.

In total, eight regions presented their projects: the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Yaroslavl region, the Kaliningrad region, the Kirov region, the Khabarovsk region, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, and the Republic of Karelia. All of these branch concepts have been approved with different stages and timelines for implementation.

The National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to showcase achievements and foster a sense of pride in the country.

At present, branches are open in the Primorye region, the Krasnoyarsk region, and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra. In 2026, new spaces are planned to open in the Ryazan region and the Hero City of Sevastopol.
