A musical performance by Veronika Kozhukharova and Hiroko Inoue was held at the National Centre RUSSIA
At the
National Centre RUSSIA, an extraordinary concert by Veronika Kozhukharova and
Hiroko Inoue, titled "Symphony of Life," took place, combining two
musical instruments: the saxophone and the organ. The audience witnessed a
vibrant multimedia show with theatrical elements and visualizations of musical
pieces. The performance was accompanied by choreographic numbers from Alla
Dukhova's ballet Todes.
"Two
completely different instruments in terms of genre and historical context. The
organ is the most majestic instrument, considered the king of all musical
instruments. Meanwhile, the saxophone is traditionally known as a jazz
instrument, but we break all stereotypes and prove that these two instruments
can sound harmonious together," noted Anastasia Zvyagina, Deputy Director
General of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The guests
of the National Centre RUSSIA were treated to a performance by saxophonist
Veronika Kozhukharova, a rising star among Russian virtuoso instrumentalists,
and Japanese organist Hiroko Inoue, a soloist of the Kaliningrad Regional
Philharmonic and laureate of international competitions.
"I am
delighted to be at the National Centre RUSSIA. Today's concert is truly unique.
Two completely different instruments in terms of genre and historical context.
As we know, the organ is the most majestic instrument, considered the king of
all musical instruments. The saxophone, on the other hand, is traditionally
viewed as a jazz instrument. But today, we will break all stereotypes and prove
that these two instruments can sound harmonious together," shared Veronika
Kozhukharova before the performance.
At the
heart of the musical presentation "Symphony of Life" lies the fusion
of classical music and modern technology. Through multimedia elements
accompanying the artists' performances, the audience experienced digital
interpretations of each composition. The musicians sought to reflect on significant
themes, including relationships between men and women, an individual's internal
struggle for their place in the world, and more.
"This
show will take us to another galaxy, allowing our audience to escape their
daily problems and forget their worries. Together, we will embark on a journey
through the power of great classical music and the legendary artists of the Todеs ballet. We will find ourselves in
a fairy tale, something people truly need now to keep their faith in goodness
and see the light," added Veronika Kozhukharova.
Artificial
intelligence generation technologies were employed in creating content for the
multimedia screen. The light and music show, special effects, and performances
by the choreographic group helped to visualize the musical narrative and
enhance the thematic essence of the show. For this concert, Hiroko Inoue
brought a unique instrument — a digital organ crafted especially for her by a
Russian master.
"Thanks
to such a mobile organ, I now have the opportunity to travel across Russia and
share my music with people. I am very happy and grateful to be here today at
the National Centre RUSSIA. Our concert proves that music is what connects
people across time and space," said Hiroko Inoue.
Throughout
the concert, guests enjoyed the great music of Johann Sebastian Bach, along
with renowned works by Russian and Japanese composers.
