Young specialists presented projects for the country's development at the National Centre RUSSIA
As part of the International Symposium "Inventing the Future," the foresight session "Design Bureau of the Future" was held at the National Centre RUSSIA. More than 300 young specialists and experts aged 18 to 35 from various fields gathered to develop initiatives that could form the basis for long-term national development strategies. The event was organized by the National Centre RUSSIA and the National Technology Initiative Platform (Platform NTI).
Today, November 8, the participants’ projects were presented to experts, including the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, Maxim Oreshkin, and the General Director of the NTI Platform, Dmitry Peskov.
Maxim Oreshkin noted that the foresight session participants presented many interesting ideas that could form the foundation of large-scale projects defining the country's future.
"It’s great to see so many young people here who think not only about today but about the future of our country for decades ahead — the kinds of projects that will move it forward and increase its role in the world. There are many interesting proposals from which something beneficial could grow. The main thing is not to stop here and to carry each project through to realization," said Maxim Oreshkin.
The "Design Bureau of the Future" participants were young people actively engaged in projects of the Presidential Platform "Russia — Land of Opportunities," the All-Russian People's Front, the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, VK, as well as participants of the "Leaders of Russia," "I Am a Professional," "Digital Breakthrough," and other programs. The participants explored vectors for Russia's technological and humanitarian development. While working on the project, they focused on 16 thematic directions divided into four blocks: "Human," "Multipolar World," "Living Environment," and "Civilization." Together with experienced mentors, they developed the "Map of Russia’s Future — 2050," which includes three main scenarios: optimal-real, utopian, and pessimistic. This document outlines initiatives that could strengthen the country’s sovereignty and promote its advanced development.
"It’s great that this platform helps in establishing new horizontal connections between participants from various institutions and fields. We immediately saw collaboration opportunities here. Different ideas intersect and together they can lead to a qualitative result," added Maxim Oreshkin.
The foresight session participants presented projects of various focuses — from improving navigation safety, creating a space production base for BRICS countries, and extending daylight hours in northern regions to establishing digital family histories using artificial intelligence, including creating digital avatars of relatives.
The "Design Bureau of the Future" became a unique platform combining elements of foresight, hackathons, and creative bureaus. The participants not only discussed future prospects but also proposed practical solutions that will help the country to successfully adapt to changes and achieve ambitious goals by 2050.
