On March 5, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted a ceremonial awards event for the winners of the second season of the All-Russian "Far East – Land of Adventures" travel competition. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev, announced that the "Far East – Land of Adventures" competition would be extended to the Arctic. This instruction to expand the competition to the Arctic territories was given by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

"Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who participated in the competition. Thank you for traveling, because this makes the world better, it makes your life better. You spread the love for Russia, you spread the love for our Far East. I am sure that the competition will continue. We will see many more wonderful films. The competition started with applications from two hundred people, and this year the number of participants tripled to more than six hundred. At first glance, it seems that it is a personal matter where someone decides to travel. But this is not the case. With every route that travelers have passed through the Far East of our country, which they have told about and made a film about, people are increasingly discovering the beautiful Far Eastern territories," emphasized Yuri Trutnev.

The guests of the event were welcomed by the Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, Natalia Virtuozova.

"It is a great honor for us that the results of the competition are being announced today at the National Centre RUSSIA, which was created by the order of our President. Yesterday, a large-scale exposition, 'Journey Across Russia,' opened at the National Centre, and it begins with an incredible exposition of the Far East. As the President says, the Far East is a special place on the planet with enormous potential. The goal of the National Centre RUSSIA and our like-minded colleagues gathered here is one — to make people fall in love with our country, with our Russia," said Natalia Virtuozova.
