On February 27, the fourth award ceremony for the laureates of the educational Znanie.Award, the flagship project of the Russian society Znanie, took place at the National Centre RUSSIA. The country learned the names of 31 laureates in 21 nominations. The ceremony also marked the launch of the new, anniversary season of Znanie.Award, with applications open on the project’s website until September 2025.

The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, addressed the participants of the Znanie.Award — 2024 ceremony. His address was read by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Golikova.

"The educational movement in our country has a rich history, filled with vivid examples of honest, selfless service to a chosen cause, to people, to the Motherland. It is gratifying that the noble, inspiring traditions of dedicated work continue, and today we honor those who sincerely, by the call of their hearts, devote themselves to an exceptionally important and much-needed mission — mentoring and educating the younger generations based on the high ideals of patriotism and civic responsibility, fostering a respectful attitude towards national history, culture, and spiritual heritage; those who contribute greatly to popularizing the unique achievements of Russian scientific thought and strive to pass on their professional and life experience to the younger generation," noted Vladimir Putin.

The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Russian society Znanie, Sergei Kiriyenko, also addressed the guests of the ceremony. He noted that the number of people spreading knowledge and truth is growing, and their authority in society is increasing.

"Over the past few years, the number of participants in Znanie.Award has increased sixfold. This season, the nominees include representatives from 56 countries across nearly all continents — only Australia and Antarctica are not participating," emphasized Sergei Kiriyenko.

In his speech, he expressed gratitude to all 19,500 applicants for the award. He also extended special thanks to the heroes of the Special Military Operation, who, upon returning from the front, become mentors for the younger generation.

"These young men continue the fight for the independence and sovereignty of our state, but now on the information front. They are fighting for the hearts and minds of young Russians, which is incredibly important," he said.

At the conclusion of his address, Sergei Kiriyenko announced the laureates in the key nomination of Znanie.Award, "For Overall Contribution to Education." The winners were TV and radio host Vladimir Solovyov and the International RUSSIA EXPO. He also announced the recipient of the educational award in the "Educational Company of the Year" category — PJSC Channel One.

In the category "For Contribution to the Preservation of Family Values," dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia, the laureates were announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova. The title of Best Educator of the Year in this category was awarded to Natalia Moskvitina, President of the charitable foundation "Women for Life" and host on SPAS TV channel. The Educational Project of the Year was the competition "It Runs in Our Family" by the ANO "Russia – Land of Opportunity."

State Secretary — Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Chair of the State Fund "Defenders of the Fatherland" Anna Tsivileva announced the laureates of the educational award in the category "For Contribution to Education in the Field of 'Volunteering and Patriotism.'" The award trophies were presented to Anastasia Prikazchikova, Director of the charitable foundation "Gift to an Angel" and director of the production company "Production of Meanings," as well as the International RUSSIA EXPO.

Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova announced the laureates of the educational award in the category "For Contribution to Education in the Field of 'Culture and Art.'" The winners were People's Artist of Russia, Artistic Director of the Oleg Tabakov Theatre Vladimir Mashkov and the festival "Genius of Place" by the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture "State Academic Mariinsky Theatre."

Rector of the Russian State Social University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Andrei Khazin, and the Museum-Temple Complex "New Chersonesos" of the Foundation for the Support of Humanitarian Sciences "My History" were recognized as the best in the category "For Contribution to Education in the Field of 'History.'" The award was presented to the laureates by Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO) Vladimir Medinsky.

Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Denis Sekirinsky presented the award to the laureates in the category "For Contribution to Education in the Field of 'Science and Technology.'" The winners were Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Pediatric Surgeon of the Siberian Federal District, and Chief Physician of the Irkutsk Children's Regional Hospital (IGODKB) — Yuri Kozlov, along with the All-Russian Festival "Science 0+" by the ANO "Centre for the Development of Future Technologies."

The Best Educational Film award was given to the film "In the Footsteps of Alexander Nevsky," produced by the private autonomous non-profit organization for the development of inclusive cinema "Languages Without Borders." The award was presented to the laureate by General Director of the National Media Group media holding Svetlana Balanova.

The laureate in the category "For Educational Activities in Schools" was teacher, blogger, and curator of the television project "Cool Topic" ("Klassnaya Tema!") Andrei Fedotov. In the category "For Educational Activities in the System of Secondary Vocational Education," the award was given to Deputy Director of the Tyumen College of Construction Industry and Urban Management Ivan Zarubin. The winner in the category "Advisor-Educator" was Advisor to the Director for Upbringing at Secondary School No. 6 in Tver, Miron Lapin. The awards were presented to the three laureates by Head of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects of the Russian Federation Sergei Novikov.

The Educator of the Year in the category "For Educational Activities in Universities" was named Professor of the Department of Phthisiology and Pulmonology at Ural State Medical University, Yuri Chugaev. His award was presented by Rector of the Presidential Academy Alexei Komissarov.

In the category "For Contribution to Education in the Field of 'Economy, Business, and Law,'" the Educator of the Year and the Educational Project of the Year were Governor of the Lipetsk Region Igor Artamonov and the project "You Have the Right" by Lenta.ru LLC. The awards were presented to them by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak.

The head of the branch of the Association of Polar Explorers and Arctic researcher Bogdan Bulychyov, along with the Geographical Dictation of the Russian Geographical Society, became laureates in the category "For Contribution to Education in the Field of Ecology and Tourism." The winners were congratulated and presented with award trophies by Deputy Chairwoman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Viktoria Abramchenko.

Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko presented awards in the category "For Contribution to Education in the Field of Sports and a Healthy Lifestyle." The Educator of the Year and the Educational Project of the Year in this category were alpinist, blogger, and member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Rustam Nabiyev and the nationwide marathon in support of donor movement development #ComeJoin (#DavaiVstupai) by the Federal Medical and Biological Agency.

Presidential Aide Yelena Yampolskaya awarded the Educator of the Year in the category "For Contribution to Education in the Field of Promoting the Russian Language and the Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation." The award went to Maria Aksenova, publisher of Avanta+ Encyclopedia and head of the Ivan Fyodorov First Printer Fund.

The Best Educational Book award was given to the historical album "Nazi Genocide of the Peoples of the USSR: Unknown Pages" by Yegor Yakovlev, published by the Russian Military Historical Society and Komsomolskaya Pravda media group. The laureate's name was announced by the President of the Russian Book Union, Sergei Stepashin.

The Young Educator of the Year award was given to Viktor Shkrebelo, a student at Secondary School No. 16 named after Hero of Russia V.I. Zavolyansky. He received the award trophy from Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Movement of the First, Olympic champion Nikita Nagorny. To congratulate the Znanie.Award — 2024 laureate in the partner nomination "Choice of the First", Nikita Nagorny was joined by Chairwoman of the Federal Council of the Movement of the First Polina Atayeva. The winner in this category was Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Pediatric Surgeon of the Siberian Federal District, and Chief Physician of IGODKB, Yuri Kozlov.

The Foreign Educator of the Year title was awarded to international analyst, photographer, and writer Christian Lamesa. The laureate was congratulated by Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and Press Department and official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the "People's Choice" category, the Educator of the Year award went to Larisa Kazakova, Director of the Penza College of Transport Technologies. The award was presented by Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian society Znanie.

The ZnanieюAward — 2024 was held with the support of its general information partner, TASS. Other media partners included Rambler&Co, Lenta.ru, Gazeta.Ru, Komsomolskaya Pravda media group, Zvezda TV and radio company, Izvestia media centку, and the publishing house Arguments and Facts.
