Projects for the development of children and youth potential were presented at the National Centre RUSSIA
On 11 September, the National Centre RUSSIA launched a
series of thematic programmes "Platform of the Future: 100 Projects of
Russia" dedicated to the achievement of the country’s national development
goals. Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation,
announced a number of projects aimed at achieving the national goal
"Realisation of each person’s potential, development of their talents,
upbringing of a patriotic and socially responsible personality".
"Today we are talking, perhaps, about the most
important thing that concerns us all — our future, what lies ahead. The
national development goals are certainly oriented primarily towards people, our
citizens. And one of the most significant, of course, is ‘Realisation of each
person’s potential’. Because it is impossible to achieve success in any
particular field — whether it be education or science — without people, without
talented, reliable, passionate and educated professionals. Therefore, the
Government’s task, on the instructions of the President, is to create such
conditions that you would want to study, work, create and develop in the areas
that interest you," said Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the
Russian Federation.
This year a new national project "Youth and Children" was launched, reminded the Deputy Prime Minister. He said it includes 183 activities. The Government together with the agencies have built a comprehensive support system that covers different areas.
Dmitry Chernyshenko also noted that in order to increase the number of talented citizens, it is necessary to create reliable and basic living conditions — social infrastructure. Over the past five years alone, more than 1,700 schools have been built in Russia, over 5,000 schools have been renovated, and more than 100 kindergartens have been opened.
To support young people in their professional
self-determination, special projects and initiatives are being developed and
implemented in the country. The project "Ticket to the Future",
thanks to which a unified model of early career guidance is operating in
schools, was presented by Sergei Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian
Federation.
"In all schools, for more than 8.5 million students in
grades 6–11, we are implementing the course ‘Russia — My Horizons’. Starting
from the 2025/26 academic year, each region will approve its own regional
career guidance programme. It will take into account the labour market needs of
a particular region and local employers. On the Unified Portal of School
Students’ Career Guidance ‘Ticket to the Future’, more than 6 million school
students have been registered since 2021. The students have undergone more than
13 million career guidance diagnostics. We strive to actively involve
employers, and already more than 13,000 are participating in career choice
activities," said Sergei Kravtsov.
Julia Tsvetkova, HR Director of Rostec State Corporation,
agreed with the words of Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov. Career guidance
and reflections on what a person wants to do in the future begin at school, she
noted.
"The earlier this work begins, the earlier we as an
industry, as our enterprises, as our projects appear in the thoughts and
aspirations of schoolchildren, the higher the chances that by the time of
graduation a student will have already made a choice. There are many options,
flexible trajectories and opportunities to change direction during the learning
process. Nevertheless, some vector must be formed. This greatly facilitates the
life of the one who determines this vector and, of course, improves conditions
at the start. Therefore, school, secondary school, and systematic career
guidance in high school, including engineering and IT classes, of which we are
partners, are of great importance," she said.
In his speech, Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy Minister of Science
and Higher Education of Russia and Secretary of the Coordinating Committee for
the Decade of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation, emphasised the
importance of science in ensuring the successful and prosperous future of the
country.
"Without science it is impossible to build the present
and even more so the future of the country. The creation of mega-science
facilities such as SKIF is one of the key tools on the path to achieving
technological leadership and ensuring our country’s competitiveness on the
global stage," he emphasised.
Denis Sekirinsky noted that the country is eagerly awaiting
the moment when the synchrotron radiation source will be launched and reach
full capacity.
"I hope this will happen soon — by the end of this year
and next year the first six stations will be launched," he added.
Projects in the field of youth policy and patriotic
education were presented by Grigory Gurov, Head of the Federal Agency for Youth
Affairs.
"International youth cooperation is one of the main
areas of our work within the largest national project ‘Youth and Children’,
which creates opportunities for self-realisation for 50 million young people. A
separate federal project ‘Russia in the World’ is dedicated to it. The World
Youth Festival, which last year brought together 20,000 young people from 190
countries, marked a new stage in the development of cooperation with other
countries. By order of the President of Russia, the legacy of the Festival is
being preserved and multiplied. We are looking forward to the meeting at the
WYF Rally, which will start on 17 September in Nizhny Novgorod and will bring
together 2,000 participants from Russia and abroad," said Grigory Gurov,
Head of Rosmolodezh, also noting that the new projects implemented by the
organisation together with foreign partners are designed to show that Russia is
a land of opportunity where everyone can realise their talents and make their
dreams come true.
Artur Orlov, Chairman of the Board of the Movement of the
First and Hero of the Russian Federation, confirmed that the national project
"Youth and Children" opens up unique opportunities for young people
to develop.
"Thanks to the national project ‘Youth and Children’,
opportunities for the self-realisation of every young person in Russia are
becoming truly unlimited. The development of the Movement of the First is of
particular importance in ensuring its effectiveness. Today the Movement already
unites more than 12.5 million participants: school, college and university
students, teachers, mentors and parents. 51,000 primary branches of the
Movement in the education system and beyond make it possible for every child,
even in the most remote corners of the country, to acquire useful skills and
receive effective career guidance. Our common task is to raise a new generation
of patriots and professionals ready to live and work for the benefit of Russia
and its future," said Artur Orlov.
Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian society
Znanie, spoke about the revival of the "Recitation Programme".
"‘Recitation Programmes’ are a return to our best
cultural traditions. In reviving this project, we set ourselves the task of
strengthening schoolchildren’s interest in reading, showing the depth and
imagery of the Russian language, the beauty of our native speech," said
Maxim Dreval. "Within the framework of the project, we have provided for a
wide variety of formats so that children find it both educational and engaging
— role reading, creative tasks, interactive lectures, film screenings, meetings
with outstanding cultural figures including Sergei Bezrukov, Vladimir Mashkov,
Yevgeny Knyazev, Dmitry Kharatyan and many others. We will implement this
large-scale project in literary clubs. Since 1 September alone we have received
873 applications from across the country to open them, which exceeded our
expectations. This shows the relevance and demand for our initiative."
The implementation of youth projects proves that Russia is
confidently becoming a global leader in street culture and sport, said Andrei
Betin, Director General of ANO "Russia — Land of Opportunity" and
Rector of the Senezh Management Workshop.
"Behind the impressive figures of the eighth season —
125 participating countries and 3,000 finalists from 58 states — stand the
destinies of real people. Our initiative changes lives: winners become mentors,
create international leagues, receive grants, and lead movements. This is a
story of how genuine passion and state support help young talents turn dreams
into projects, and projects into legacy. Already today we see a unique global
phenomenon with no equivalent. Looking at the energy, unity and calibre of the
participants, we can confidently say: 'Russia is truly a land of opportunity —
a country where the future of global street culture is born'," concluded
Andrei Betin.
The series of thematic programmes "Platform of the
Future: 100 Projects of Russia" is dedicated to tangible results in
achieving the national development goals in accordance with Presidential Decree
No. 309. From September to December, eight thematic meetings will take place to
show what steps are being taken towards the national development goals and what
practical benefits they bring to ordinary people. The events will present key
initiatives covering the social sphere, infrastructure, ecology, industry,
economy and culture.
The presentations of projects will be delivered by members
of the Government of Russia and heads of ministries responsible for the
implementation of national projects and the achievement of national goals.
Project initiators and direct participants, business representatives, the
academic community and active citizens have also been invited to take part in
the discussions.
