Gastronomic festival dedicated to asparagus to be presented at the National Centre RUSSIA
The series of presentations of gastronomic festival-journeys "Library of Russian Flavours" at the National Centre RUSSIA, which started on May 16, will continue on May 17. Guests will be introduced to the Asparagus Festival, which was held for the first time in 2024 in the capital of North Ossetia-Alania—Vladikavkaz.
The event will be opened by the curator of the project "Journey Across Russia. Food" of the National Centre RUSSIA, author and head of the federal project "Gastronomic Map of Russia" Yekaterina Shapovalova, head of the culture department of Vladikavkaz (Republic of North Ossetia-Alania) Ruslan Marzoev, founder and general director of the farm "Asparagus Valley" Valery Revazov and executive director of the farm "Asparagus Valley" Yuri Revazov.
Guests of the Gastronomic Rows will be able to listen to a lecture and take part in a cooking class "Rules of Cooking Asparagus." Also the programme of the event includes a large-scale tasting in three parts. The first will present festival dishes with asparagus from the North Caucasus to the Baltic, performed by the brand chef of the Gastronomic Rows corners South and West, Rafael Yakupov. In the second part of the programme, brand chef of the East corner Svetlana Bokova and chef of the North corner Andrei Vinogradov will treat the audience to asparagus dishes from the Far East to the Arctic. The series of culinary shows will be concluded with a tasting from the chefs of the Gastronomic Rows of the National Centre RUSSIA, who will present an Ossetian pie with asparagus.
