A scooter, boxing gloves, and a tour of an animation studio — First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia Sergei Kiriyenko took part in the All-Russian "New Year Tree of Wishes" campaign. He picked three cards with children's wishes off the tree at the National Centre RUSSIA.

Nine-year-old Arsen from the village of Bayrak in the Republic of Bashkortostan dreams of having a scooter; 12-year-old Darya from the Zaporozhye region asked for boxing gloves; and nine-year-old Diana from Veliky Novgorod wished to visit an animation studio.

The All-Russian "New Year Tree of Wishes" campaign has been held since 2018 and helps fulfil the dreams of children facing difficult life circumstances. It brings a sense of New Year magic and reminds us that miracles really do happen. Over the course of the project, more than 320,000 children's wishes have been granted.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also took part in the campaign. On 3 December, he visited the National Centre RUSSIA, where he picked three cards with the wishes of children who found themselves in difficult situations.

The launch of the "New Year Tree of Wishes" was given by Ded Moroz from Veliky Ustyug at the National Centre RUSSIA on 20 November. The country's chief winter magician arrived directly from his residence to meet the children, answer their questions and hand out the first gifts.
