On November 22, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the premiere of the documentary "Are They All Yours?", which delves into the daily lives of large families with many children from various regions of the country. A collaboration between ANO "National Priorities" and BOKOVFACTORY, the project was launched to celebrate the Year of the Family.

The film offers viewers an immersive glimpse into the unique challenges and everyday realities faced by large families. Narrated from the perspectives of both parents and children, it unveils the values and distinct experiences of these families, highlighting the emotions and moments that shape this extraordinary way of life.

"Are They All Yours?" is more than just a film — it is a study of what motivates people to create large families with many children, where they find their strength, how government support aids them, what dreams they cherish, and whether those dreams come true.

"We regularly conduct sociological research on various topics related to national projects, and we can confidently say that families with children generally rate their lives more positively and look to the future with optimism. Large families, especially those with four or more children, are significantly happier than others. Parents in such families often say that raising children is much easier when there are many of them. The heroes of 'Are They All Yours?' clearly demonstrate that a big, united family is both fun and fulfilling, while state support ensures everything else is taken care of. Starting next year, new benefits and allowances for families with children will be available under the new national project 'Family,'” said Sofia Malyavina, General Director of ANO "National Priorities."

Large families have their own world, values, and traditions. The film's protagonists are vibrant and distinctive individuals who support one another, share joy, and most importantly, embody unconditional love. The values instilled by the parents will guide their children into adulthood and serve as a foundation for building their own families.

"Today, if a woman chooses to dedicate her time entirely to raising children, it is a significant decision. Or rather, the possibility of that choice. This is a key takeaway we discovered while working on the film. Moreover, perceptions of fatherhood have evolved significantly in recent years. It’s no longer solely about financial provision — modern fathers seek equal participation in raising their children," said the project’s creator, Sofiko Shevardnadze.

The film takes viewers on a journey, showing how families from different parts of Russia live over the course of a single day — from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to St. Petersburg. As the day ends in Kamchatka, life is just beginning in St. Petersburg.

Experts involved in the project include those who deeply understand the life of large families: actress and mother of three Anna Banshchikova; Natalia Moskvitina, president of the Women for Life charitable foundation and mother of four; psychologist and mother of seven Larisa Surkova; and Polina Aynutdinova, star of the series "Daddy's Daughters. The New Chapter," who is herself the fifth child in her family.

The documentary "Are They All Yours?" will be available for streaming on the Okko platform starting November 25.

The National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a permanent basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations, and regions take part in the Centre’s work.

The National Centre RUSSIA is located at 14 Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, Moscow. The Centre is open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day except Monday.
