The official opening of the "Journey Across Russia" project took place at the National Centre RUSSIA
A new
exposition, "Journey Across Russia," has been unveiled at the
National Centre RUSSIA. This large-scale exposition allows visitors to travel
across the entire country in just one hour, from the Far East to Kaliningrad,
showcasing major achievements, innovative developments, as well as cultural,
natural, and historical landmarks of all federal districts.
The
construction of the "Journey Across Russia" exposition, covering an
area of more than 3,000 square meters, took 30 days. The exposition space is
divided into eight zones, corresponding to Russia's eight federal districts —
Far Eastern, Siberian, Volga, Central, North Caucasian, Southern, Ural, and
Northwestern.
First
Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian
Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the National Centre
RUSSIA, Sergei Kiriyenko, emphasized that the National Centre RUSSIA is a
centre of national pride.
"The
opening of the National Centre RUSSIA — the successor of the RUSSIA EXPO — is a
directive from the President of our country. At the conclusion of the
Exposition, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin set a task: the unique achievements
presented by all Russian regions, industries, and major companies, along with
the accumulated experience, must not be lost. This led to the President's
directive to establish the National Centre RUSSIA. It is not just an exposition
space — it is a centre of national pride, bringing together everything that our
citizens take pride in. The National Centre RUSSIA has created the 'Journey
Across Russia' project. Nowhere else in the world can one see all federal
districts of our vast and great country in a single day," noted Sergei
Kiriyenko.
The First
Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian
Federation emphasized that, following the President's directive, visits to the
expositions and events of the National Centre RUSSIA are free for all visitors.
The new
exposition, "Journey Across Russia," unites the history, traditions,
and modern achievements of all federal districts. Visitors will see unique
displays and multimedia installations that showcase the country's natural,
cultural, and historical diversity, as well as its key achievements in science
and technology. Special attention has been given to interactive elements: the
use of modern VR technologies ensures full immersion into the exposition's
content and the unique atmosphere of each federal district.
The first
part of the "Journey Across Russia" project consists of the
Gastronomic Rows, where visitors to the National Centre RUSSIA can taste both
traditional and innovative dishes from across the country. The dishes are
presented in four thematic zones — East, North, West, and South. Guests can
enjoy culinary shows, themed festivals, masterclasses under the program
"Learning Russia’s Culinary Language," and a rich cultural program. A
children's room is available for the youngest visitors.
The
exposition space concludes with the digital "Heart Zone," where every
visitor can leave their impressions on a digital postcard, which will be
preserved in the history of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The
"Journey Across Russia" exposition is designed for visitors of all
ages. The exposition will open for free public access on March 5. Entry to the
venue is free on a first-come, first-served basis or as part of guided tour
groups, which are formed through prior registration on the website RUSSIA.RU or
at the main information desk of the National Centre.
