The introductory meeting of the Youth Council of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation has begun

On February 19, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the opening of a two-day introductory meeting of the Youth Council of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Participants discussed the role of the Youth Council in the industry as well as the development of educational projects.

Managing such a large-scale industry as culture is quite challenging, and representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Russia face numerous challenges in their work. This was highlighted by Yulia Poletykina, Director of the Department for Educational Work, Enlightenment Projects, and Special Educational Programs in the Field of Culture of the Ministry of Culture of Russia.

"Young adults in the field of culture is not just the future of our country but also its energy and inspiration. You hold ideas that can change the perception of the industry. For our part, we will listen to the voice of the younger generation and support the initiatives and projects you propose," Yulia Poletykina addressed the meeting participants.

The Tavrida Art Cluster is a city for creators and a large community of dedicated professionals and young artists. Ksenia Artemyeva, Chair of the Youth Council of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, who progressed from a participant to the Director General of the project, spoke about the role of Tavrida in the work of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. She emphasized the importance of establishing the City of Young Creators, which enables the realization of creative ideas and formats.

"Today, the introductory meeting of the Youth Council of the Ministry of Culture of Russia took place, and I am very pleased to be part of this. Over the next two days, we will discuss the goals and objectives of the Council, aimed at promoting the industry and working in the cultural sector. Young representatives of key creative fields have gathered here, and it is inspiring to see different perspectives come together into a unified vision for the future of Russian culture. The Tavrida Art Cluster will certainly not remain on the sidelines — it will become our shared home, a platform for dialogue, and a space for collaboration on joint projects," noted Ksenia Artemyeva, Director General of the Tavrida Art Cluster.

The program of the introductory meeting at the National Centre RUSSIA includes lectures and open dialogues with representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, group development of the annual report of the Youth Council, and other events.

The Youth Council of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation is one of the largest among similar structures of federal agencies in the country. The Council brings together representatives of organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Culture of Russia and employees of the ministry under the age of 35. The first meeting of the Council took place in 2022.
