The results of the latest stage of the #LetterToAHero campaign announced at the National Centre RUSSIA

The results of the third stage of the patriotic campaign #LetterToAHero have been announced at the Volunteer Centre of the National Centre RUSSIA. On 22 July, volunteers handed a new batch of letters for participants in the special military operation to RT war correspondents — more than 1,000 heartfelt messages folded into traditional front-line triangles. Guests of the National Centre RUSSIA wrote warm words and sincere wishes to those who are defending the future of our country with weapons in their hands today. Since the campaign began, volunteers of the National Centre RUSSIA have handed around 8,000 letters of support to war correspondents.

The messages written by visitors to the National Centre RUSSIA will form part of a humanitarian aid shipment travelling to the special military operation zone with war correspondents who work on the front line every day. Anyone could take part in this important initiative. Special forms were prepared for visitors to the National Centre RUSSIA, while volunteers helped them write their letters and showed them how to fold the messages into front-line triangles — a symbol of wartime correspondence familiar to everyone since childhood.

"Every letter is more than just a piece of paper to us: it is the living voice of those waiting for our heroes at home. We understand how important this support is to the servicemen, so we do everything we can to ensure that these words of gratitude reach them as quickly as possible," said the Volunteer Programme Manager at the National Centre RUSSIA, Arseny Ozhegin.

The large-scale patriotic campaign #LetterToAHero was launched at the National Centre RUSSIA on 23 February 2025. Its main aim is to express the nation's gratitude to military personnel participating in the special military operation and strengthen the spiritual bond between society and the defenders of the Motherland. The first letters were written by guests, participants and experts attending events at the III International Festival "RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes" and the festive concert marking Defender of the Fatherland Day, as well as by volunteers and staff of the National Centre RUSSIA. The initiative continues to bring people together across the country, reminding us that even in the most difficult times, each of us can contribute to our shared cause and say "thank you" to those who risk their lives every day for peace in their native land.
