The first meeting of the organizing committee for the EXPO has been held in North Ossetia
The organizational meeting devoted to the participation of the region in the International RUSSIA EXPO was held by Boris Dzhanaev, Chairman of the Government of the Republic.
"North Ossetia is a dynamically developing region having distinctive culture and extensive history, breathtaking nature and spiritual strength. And we also have fantastic people who carefully store and cherish all this heritage. We definitely have got something to showcase and tell the citizens of Russia. In accordance with the program of the RUSSIA EXPO ‘Day of the Region’ has been scheduled to be held on December 7, 2023 at the venue of VDNH. Little time is left, therefore the executive authorities should work out the business, cultural and educational programs for the EXPO. Our mission is to share the magic atmosphere of North Ossetia, convey its specific character and present all the achievements that we are so proud of today. We should represent our republic at the venue of the Forum in the best way possible", — stated Boris Dzhanaev.
The Republic of North Ossetia-Alania is a region of great tourist potential having over 1.500 historical and cultural monuments of regional and federal significance located within its area. The National park ‘Alania’, Tseyskoe Gorge, the Dargava necropolis and Midagrabin waterfalls can be especially highlighted among the landmarks of North Ossetia.
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
